Adding Word Art
1. Click Insert>>Picture>> Word Art or Click the
Insert WordArt icon in the drawing tool bar.
2. Select the style you wish to use.
3. Type your words.
4. Change color, lines, etc.. as you would with
ClipArt.

Text Boxes Vs. Word Art
Some people overuse Word Art.
Text Boxes can be pretty effective.
The items below are text boxes.

Adding a Text Box
1. Click Insert>>Picture>> Word Art or Click the
Insert Text Box icon in the drawing tool bar.
2. Click a spot on the screen.
3. Begin typing.
Borders & Fills
The text box below has a blue border so
that you can see it, however, Text Boxes
have no background color or borders by
default unless you add a line color and
fill.
Experiment! Change color, lines, etc.. as
you would with ClipArt.

Formatting Text Boxes
Did you notice the size differences on the last
slide?
Those were due to text settings.
Experiment with those setting by following the
directions below.
1. Right click this text Box.
2. Choose Format Text Box.
3. Click Text Box.
4. Experiment!
