momentum of the past two years as we have grown our community support and our programs
that reach youth. We are very pleased to partner with the Wine Industry Technology Symposium
in their first annual meeting.”

“Partnering with Junior Achievement is a great opportunity for the technology industry and wine
industry to promote economic education for today’s youth. These young people will be the next
generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders.” said J. Smoke Wallin, WITS Event Chair and

JA’s many programs for over 16 years and I can’t think of a more effective group of educational
leaders with which to join forces. Just as WITS is about the most effective strategic use of
technology, JA is about the most effective ways of educating youth about the free enterprise
system and economics.”

Since 1950, Junior Achievement of the Bay Area's purpose has been to educate and inspire
young people to value free enterprise and understand business and economics to improve the
quality of their lives. Junior Achievement is the region's largest and fastest-growing
organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise.
Through age-appropriate curricula, our programs begin at the elementary school level, teaching
children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers, and consumers.
Junior Achievement programs continue through the middle and high school grades, preparing
students for additional key economic and workforce issues they will face in the future. Today,
JA reaches more than 95,000 students in the Bay Area.

About Wine Industry Technology Symposium
The Wine Industry Technology Symposium was created in 2005 by a group of wine industry and
technology professionals. The purpose of WITS is to address the unique information technology
and services needs of the wine industry. Until now, there has not been a dedicated forum in
which to do this. WITS is dedicated to bringing the world’s leading wineries, distributors and
retailers together with some of the world’s leading technology experts to foster learning and
discussion. Panels of experts will discuss specific examples and case studies involving
winemaking, vineyard management, wine club and consumer sales, operations, financial
management, sales and distribution, channel management and national accounts.

To register for WITS visit the website at www.wineindustrytechnologysymposium.com or call
(707) 261-8716.
