The goal of this project is to create a list of “Frequently Asked Questions” about the topics assigned to you about
Africa. This research project you will be working on consists of doing research and

Instructions

Your SOURCES: 2 of the sources you use must be a book. 3 must be Internet sources.

 In the classroom:
1. Generate your questions about the concept that you will be researching
2. Make sure that any research you do you write down the source information:

In the computer lab:
FAQ Research Project: Computer Lab Instructions

To Begin:
1. After logging in to the computer, immediately open Microsoft Word.
2. Click FILE, SAVE AS, and title your document YOUR LAST NAME FAQ PROJECT. EX: Johnson FAQ Project.
3. Click FILE, PAGE SETUP, and change all four margins to 1”.
4. Make sure the font is TIMES NEW ROMAN size 12.
5. Click FORMAT, PARAGRAPH. Halfway down on the right you will see LINE SPACING. Click on DOUBLE.
6. Click VIEW, HEADER and FOOTER. A rectangular box will appear at the top of the page. Click on the ALIGN
RIGHT button (the 5th button to the right of the BOLD button).
7. Type your last name and a space. Then click on the PAGE NUMBER button on the toolbar (looks like #). Click
CLOSE on the Header/Footer toolbar.


PAGE ONE:
    Type your first and last name and press ENTER
    Type Ms. McCully and press ENTER
    Type 7th Grade Literature and press ENTER
    Type 24 June 2008 (the date you start the project) and press ENTER
    Click on the CENTER button (four buttons to the right of the BOLD button)
    Type Frequently Asked Questions About ____________ (fill in the name of your topic) and press ENTER
    Click the ALIGN LEFT button (3 buttons to the right of the BOLD button)
    Press the TAB key once.
    Click on the BULLETS key (9 buttons to the right of the BOLD button)
    Type your first question and press ENTER. The next bullet should automatically appear.
    Type the rest of your questions.

                How have other authors influenced William Shakespeare’s writing?

                What has William Shakespeare’s success entailed?

                Where did I find this information, and why is it important to the novel?

     Click BOLD (Which is the B in the bar above in Microsoft Word)

     Retype your first question

     Click BOLD again

     Minimize your Word document

     Go To my Blog and Download the file: “Research for FAQ Project Handout”

     Copy the answer from the source and paste it under the question in your Word document.

      IMPORTANT: You will eventually PARAPHRASE the answers. The final paraphrased answers must be
      at least five sentences long each. Make sure you get enough information to adequately complete this
      project. If one of your questions only requires a short answer, you will have to elaborate on it or add to it
      somehow. The sample paper has some examples of this. Also, you must use at least five sources overall
      (including 2 for books) After all of your answers are completed and documented.

     Find the source citation information; THE SOURCE INFORMATION IS THE BOOK INFORMATION. Copy and
      Past the below for either a book or Internet source and fill in the information.

     WE WILL COMPLETE A WORKS CITED PAGE LATER.
For each of your ten questions, you should have copied the answer
from an appropriate source and pasted it under the question. You
should also have copied the source citation and pasted it under the
corresponding answer.

Once you have answered all ten questions, click EDIT, SELECT ALL,
FORMAT, FONT.

Make sure everything is set as follows.
         Font: Times New Roman
         Font Style: Regular
         Size: 12
         Font Color: Automatic or Black
         Click OK.

Raise your hand and wait for me before moving on to the next
step.

Where and when was William Shakespeare born?

He was born in an English town called Whittenham in 1609. His father was very wealthy and

worked in the royal court before he died in 1626. His mother died in 1613, when Suckling was

only four years old.

Did William Shakespeare always want to be a writer?

From 1631 to 1632, Suckling fought in the armed forces, but not for England. He volunteered to

serve under King Gustavus of Sweden. Even though he only served about a year, he was present

at several battles that took place in Germany.
