Program a Success
Desert REALTORS® did their part contributing generously to the USMC “Toys for
Tots” campaign. Donated toys were distributed directly to local Coachella Valley
children in this now 62 year-old program (started here in Southern California) of
the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve. In that time, Marines have distributed more than
400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children. This charitable endeavor
has made the U. S. Marines the unchallenged leader in looking after less fortunate
children at Christmas. Thanks to all who participated!

Ini Asmann of Windermere Real Estate was named 2009 REALTOR® of the
Year by the California Desert Association of REALTORS® for her dedication and
professional accomplishments in the real estate industry. Asmann, a licensed
real estate broker since 1999, said she was "surprised and honored" to be
named REALTOR® of the Year, saying "I have been working a lot this year with
the Community Services Committee, which does a lot of worthwhile projects
out in the community. I think every REALTOR® should give something back to

installed as the new C.D.A.R. President December 10 during the Installation of
