History
The first people to
use optical illusions
were Greeks. Their
temples had slanted
roofs and bulged
walls. You could
notice these features
up close but from a
distance the temple
seem as if it were
perfect.
How optical illusions work
The illusions we see are
actually unexpected
observations.
When we look at an
object we see what our
mind is expecting to see,
not what is really there.
Our brain tells the eyes
what it thinks should be
where we are looking and
that’s what we end up
thinking is there.
Color illusion
Try to say the
COLOR you see not
the word.
The reason it is so
hard is because one
side of your brain is
telling you to look at
the color and the
other side is telling
you to read the word
Mind illusion
When you read this
you probably see “a
bird in the bush”
Look at it again it
says “a bird in the the
bush”
This is because your
mind has grown to
speed read which
means you can fill in
the blanks
How illusions Relate to Geometry
To make optical
illusions you need to
use various types of
shapes
