Beyond Freedom 2010 Conference
Call for Presentations
Deadline: January 30, 2010
The conference this year is aimed at providing training, education and to promote service delivery, collaboration and
partnerships that will result in successful transition and reentry services/programs. Sessions should also emphasize
the importance of collaboration in improving outcomes for offenders after correctional supervision. The NCREAP
Conference Planning Committee is soliciting this call for presentations for our 3rd Annual conference scheduled for
March 8-9, 2010 at North Carolina Central University, Durham, North Carolina.
The Committee is seeking innovative and informative presentations that address Independent Living – Employment
and Mentoring , Faith-Based Organizations – Community Outreach, Juvenile Justice, Female Offenders, Substance
Abuse and Mental Health. The presentation sessions are 85 minutes in length and we recommend that you allow 15
minutes for questions and answers.
Proposals received after the deadline, will only be considered if additional sessions are needed. Please make sure
that your proposal is in Microsoft Word. When submitting your proposal, please include the following;
o 50 word workshop description that will appear in the conference program
o Targeted audience
o Skills or outcomes for those attending the workshop
o Presenter Name, Address, Phone Number, Fax Number, Email
o Presenters should be prepared to provide materials for handouts to be duplicated by conference
staff upon your presentation being selected by the conference committee.
o Please attach PowerPoint Presentation if available.

o Laptop & cart, power strips, screen and flipcharts.
