Petruk, 2008. Efforts to Improve Learning and Learning Outcomes Through the
         Application of Islamic Learning Method Discussion In Class V Student
         Village Elementary School District 1 District Town City Year Study In
         Odd Semester 2008/2009.

        The success of the learning objectives are determined by many factors
including the factor of teachers in implementing the teaching and learning,
because teachers can directly affect, develop and enhance intelligence and skills
of students. To solve the above problems and to achieve educational goals to the
maximum, the teacher's role is very important and teachers are expected to have a
way / model good teaching and learning and are able to choose the right model
and in accordance with the concepts of the subjects that will be delivered.

       Problems to be studied in this research are: (a) How does an increase in
student achievement with the implementation of the learning method of
discussion? (B) How does the discussion method of teaching methods to students'
motivation?

       The purpose of this action research were: (a) Want to know the increase in
student achievement after the implementation of the learning method of
discussion. (B) To determine the effect of students' motivation after
implementation of the discussion method of learning methods.

        This study uses action research (action research) as many as three rounds.
Each round consists of four phases: design, activity and observation, reflection,
and revision. Objectives of this study is a Class V student of SDN 1 Village
District of the City District City Year Study In Odd Semester 2008/2009 ". The
data obtained in the form of a formative test results, observation of teaching and
learning activities sheet.

        Of the analysts found that student achievement has increased from cycle I
to cycle III, namely, cycle I (68.18%), cycle II (77.27%), cycle III (86.36%).

       The conclusion of this study is the demonstration of the method can be a
positive influence on student learning motivation Class V Village Elementary
School District 1 District Town City Year Study In Odd Semester 2008/2009 ".
