                Coin Hoard –
                Gold Hoard Week takes places between Monday 10th
                October to Friday 15th October and on each day we
                will welcome ten people to join us in the conservation
                lab at Ipswich Museum. The curator of archaeology
                will give a brief introduction to the coins and their
                Iron Age heritage after which the museum’s
                conservators will tell volunteers about museum
                conservation before guiding them through the
                process of cleaning and labelling and then you can
                get to work! - Booking is essential, book in advance
                by calling Caroline McDonald on 01473 433543.
                Places are limited to one booking per person. Due to
                the environment that the work takes place in,
                volunteers must be 16 or older. Under 18’s will
                require parental permission. Tea and Coffee will be
                provided but you need to make your own
                arrangements for lunch.
                Please note the lab is not accessible to wheelchairs
                and is accessed via a staircase.
