My dear students
There is a famous quote "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress and
working together is success." As we look back over the last four years, certainly there was a
beginning, and thankfully there was also progress and yes - undeniably we have been successful!
The degree of Success can be debated, but indeed we are successful. But let's begin where all
good stories begin - at the beginning! Who can forget when all of you came together for the first
time in this very Auditorium in the year 2007- when nervous young innocent boys and girls, just
after completing 12th from school along with their proud parents were looking surprisingly, here
and there, thus clearly signaling that some wonderful things to are going to start in their life.
Day-by-day we focused on our goal, keeping together and working together. We faced some
incredible and memorable moments - moments that we chose to use as stepping stone as we
tenaciously pursued our common goals. You will now be in charge of your lives. The lessons and
guidance that we have given you should hold you in good stead. The end result, Ladies and
Gentlemen, in spite of the obstacles that we may had faced along the way... is that you are about
to become an engineering Graduate from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering college within few days
from now. You are ready, willing and more than able to grasp the torch that we bestow upon
you- yours is the future and you have to contribute in the progress of the country which we
proudly call India. Since the outgoing students are always the Brand Ambassador of their Alma-
mater, I do hope that, all of you will be responsible and contributing citizens and will be able to
turn your positive attitudes into reality. Since only dreamer can be achievers, therefore Convert
your aspirations into inspirations. Overcome your negative emotions through determination,
courage, confidence, discipline, honesty and truthfulness.
May your years ahead continue to be characterized by empathy, compassion, objectivity and a
willingness to take risks.
May you always lead by example and work hard and play straight.
May your successes be many and your tribulations be few and far between.
We wish you everything that you so richly deserve in the years ahead - it has been an honor and
a privilege watching your progress and success.
Always cherish your good memories of campus and share it with your coming generations so
that you can always remember your alma mater in some way or other. Enjoy this moment as it is
not going to come again. Congratulations, we are inordinately proud of you all!
At the end “Be not dismayed whatever be the tide; God will take care of you.” And face the
world with confidence and competence.
Thank you and all the very best for your coming examinations.
