Blue Ivy Carter could have appeared on any magazine cover, netting her megastar parents,
Beyonce and Jay-Z, millions of dollars. Instead, the music power couple decided to introduce their
baby girl to the world for free– on blogging site Tumblr.

The celebrated couple, known for keeping
their lips sealed when it comes to their
personal lives shared the intimate family
photos with this hand written note: “We
welcome you to share in our joy. Thank
you for respecting our privacy during this
beautiful time in our lives. The Carter
Family”
Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend sold the first photos of their newborn son Levi to OK!
magazine for $3 million, TMZ reported.
J. Lo and Marc Anthony sold their baby photos to People Magazine for $6 million. And Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie scored $11 million for the first photos of their twins.
“The one thing that we have to remember, that unless they release pictures there would have been
paparazzi on their doorstep and it would not have stopped until that first picture was out,” said
Melanie Bromley with US Weekly.
Last month, the couple also filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to
protect Blue Ivy’s name and reserve it for a future line of baby carriages and other accessories.
Isn’t she too “white” to be the daughter of two black people? I know the skin is clearer when we are
babies and then gets darker as we grow up (also, it’s not like Beyonce and Jay-Z are the “blackest”
black people that we’ve seen) but I don’t know, seems weird to me.
