                      January 2008 Meeting Minutes


Sandi Hartman called the meeting to order at 7:05pm.

December meeting minutes were posted on the website. Meeting minutes
were accepted as posted.

Marisa Leonard reported that year to date income is $41,410.03 and
expenses are $17,002.66. There are approximately $12,000 in outstanding
Fairshare collections remaining. Drum Major uniform jackets are purchased
each year and guard clinicians are paid for by the boosters each year. Guard
clinicians are not employed by the school.

Luminary sales were approximately $5050.00. $862.66 will be given to the
Relay For Life team at Bartram. Wage earned by the students was about
$3.87 per hour. Money will be applied to balances in student accounts.
Money in student accounts must be spent by the end of the year.

Jason Duckett reported that the band trip to Gatlinburg will be from May 20-
23. The itinerary is not fully completed yet. The trip will be $499 and will
include most meals.

An overview of the solo and ensemble event at Bartram was given.

The Prefest concert will be held on Feb. 21. Adjudicators will attend this
event. St. Augustine, Bartram, Pedro Menendez, and Nease will participate
in he concert.

FBA Concert Festival will be held at Flagler Palm Coast High School from
March 6-8.

Rehearsal dates for Concert band were discussed.

Phyllis Shumate reported that Bartram’s concessions have been requested to
serve the Cunningham Creek Elementary PTO carnival. Event times would
be from 4-8pm on April 4.
Driving For Funds will continue to send a portion of the registration fee for
traffic classes back to the band. Registration can be done online.

Carbux will be participating in a fundraising event for the band, as well.
Every $10 carwash sold in the month of March (using a special promotion
code) will result in a $4 donation for the band.

Becky Marra reported that volunteers are still needed for the upcoming solo
and ensemble event at Bartram. Times have not been determined, yet.
Volunteers will be able to leave their shifts to see their students performing
at the event.

Sandi reported that the next meeting will be held on the first Tuesday in
February.
