All bidders are required to sign and attach a copy of this addendum with each bid for Battery Packs for Electronic Voting
Equipment for the Harris County Clerk’s Office. This addendum must be received by the Purchasing Department no later
than the above due date.
ADDENDUM NO. 1
The following information is being provided to clarify the requirements.
1. Battery Pack samples may be obtained Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 p.m. at the following location:
Election Technology Center/606 Canino/Houston, Texas 77076

2. The following are added to the specifications:
eSlate™ 3000 Battery Pack:
The wires from the battery pack are red and black and come out 2-½ inches to the base of the Molex connector. The
Molex connector is a two channel (wire) black locking connector with an ID # 43025 on one side. The plastic shell
case is a black polycarbonate made especially for the 12-volt battery pack using a vacuum-forming mold. It holds
eight (8) Duracell MN1300/wod flat top Alkaline D size batteries equaling 12 volts. The vendor must supply the
case, which is 5-½ X 5 inches with a ribbed and contoured body. Vendor must obtain specifications for the case
directly from Hart InterCivic and a Certificate of Conformance is required from the vendor by Hart InterCivic.
JBC Battery Pack:
The wires from the battery pack are red and black and come out 3.1 inch to the base of the Molex connector. The
Molex connector is a two channel (wire) black locking connector with an ID # 43025 on one side. This 12 volt
battery pack is 5 X 5 inches and holds eight (8) Panasonic AM-1Pl industrial Alkaline D size cells. The white, Heat
Shrink Wrap must enclose all batteries and must be as strong and rigid as possible. Vendor must obtain specifications
for the plastic shell case directly Hart InterCivic and a Certificate of Conformance is required from the vendor by Hart
InterCivic.
