Five Science Fair Participants Qualify for State - The following Science Fair participants have qualified for the state
   competition on May 9th in Champaign: Sri Vasametti, Shilpa Subrahmanyan, Jacob Ma, Eric Ordonez and Jonathan Lee. Sri
   Vasametti also received special recognition from the Office of Naval Research. Way to go Warriors!

[Senior Class 2009] Donations Needed - Senior Sailabration – The Senior Sailabration committee is looking for donations.

[Juniors-Class of 2010] Attention Parents of WV Juniors - The Senior Sailabration committee is in need of junior parent
   volunteers to help take down decorations after this year's Senior Sailabration on April 19th. Please contact Becky Piegore at

Volunteer Opportunity - Election Process - Gary Vician from the Naperville Area Homeowners Confederation is looking for
   student volunteers to assist with the election candidate forums offered to inform voters. He is looking for student volunteers to
   help as greeters and collectors of questions. The date is March 30th for Naperville City Council. The forums are at the Naperville
   City Hall Council Chambers, from 6:30 set up until 10:00 PM.
March is National Athletic Training Month -Thank you to athletic trainers: Darlene Clark, Mike Knoll, and Kathy Powell Athletic
  trainers are medical professionals who are experts in injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, with

Cinderella's Closet - FREE Prom Dresses 4/18 from 9am - 3pm - On April 18, 2009, the Junior League of Kane & DuPage
   Counties will host the annual Cinderella's Closet event. The event will be held from 9am - 3pm at Aurora Comity Center at 501

WV 2009 Musical - WVHS is proud to present this year's musical Leonard Bernstein's WEST SIDE STORY
  Performances are May 7, 8, & 9 at 7:30 PM and May 10 at 2:00 PM. Prices for tickets are $9.00 for adults and $6.00 for students
  and senior citizens. Tickets go on sale April 22 at the box office; box office hours are from 2-4, M-F. Staring on April 22 tickets can
  also be ordered by phone, 630-375-3286.
WVHS Steppers Take 2nd Place!!! - The WVHS Steppers took 2nd place on Saturday in the West Suburban Steppers

German Class Fundraiser - Bake Sale - GERMAN STUDENTS NEED YOUR HELP! Please help Waubonsie's German students get
  to Germany this summer by buying delicious treats from them. They will be hosting a Bake Sale, from April 13 through April 17,
  every morning at 6:45 am in the Atrium. Danke schön!
Business Students to Attend Consumer Credit Abuse Presentation - Representatives of the C.A.R.E. Program will meet
  with WVHS seniors during Consumer Economics classes on April 9th. C.A.R.E. is a national program designed to alert middle
   school, high school and college students to the many consequences of consumer credit abuse. Bankruptcy judges, lawyers,
   bankruptcy trustees, and college educators give the presentations in an effort to address the concerns regarding financial illiteracy

Market Day Orders Due - This is a week early due to Spring Break, but online orders can be submitted until Saturday, April 4 at
  11 p.m. Orders will be available for pick up on Wednesday, April 8 from 3-4 p.m. at the Green Campus Auditorium hallway. Thank

Heart Screening for Students - Indian Prairie School District 204 is teaming up with the Midwest Heart Community Foundation,
  Edward Hospital, and the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation on Young Hearts for Life Cardiac Screening for high school
  students. The program will be offered at Waubonsie Valley High School- Gold Campus on April 9 and at Neuqua Valley High

Unified '09 Talent Show - On Thursday, April 9th, at 7:30 pm, Unified '09 will present "My Life, Your Entertainment," an evening
  of WVHS student talent--to replace former years' Impersonation Assembly. Tickets will be sold for $3 during lunch periods
  Monday, April 6th, Wednesday, April 8th & Thursday, April 9th. Tickets purchased at the door will be $5. Proceeds will benefit
  "Wish Upon a Star."

Summer School Information is Available - Summer school information and class listings is now available from the College of
   DuPage and Waubonsee Community College. Please stop by the guidance office to pick up a brochure. All enrollments for
   summer school is done directly with the institution, not WVHS.
