Dear Circle of Friends Members

On behalf of your newly elected Executive Board of Director’s I would like to invite you to join us at
the Annual Travel General Meetings being held in January. You will have an opportunity to hear about
the wonderful trips we have planned for the coming year. We have invited our travel vendors to make
presentations including slide shows of exciting travel destinations, door prizes and answers to your
travel questions.

The Circle of Friends Travel Department offers our members exceptional personalized service. You
are assured that one of our wonderful host or hostesses will be with you at all times as you travel our
wonderful country on any of our local day or overnight trips. If you join us for extended travel you are
assured that Premier World Discovery, our travel partner, offers exceptional service, tour guides and
accommodations at a fair market value. We hope you will consider traveling with us, your friends.

I personally would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Executive Boards and all our
wonderful volunteers for the exceptional jobs you have done this last year. You have provided the
membership with entertaining, educational and social programs throughout the year. Staffed our two
chapter offices and chaired many committees. You have inspired the membership to give of themselves
to numerous non-profits in support of those less fortunate and you have supported each other in times
of need. You are truly an inspiration. For those reading this, whom are not members… you don’t know
what you are missing.

Circle of Friends is a unique
social organization with the
emphasis on FRIENDS.

I wish each and every one
of you a happy, healthy and
exciting New Year full of
good times spent with
good friends.

Sincerely yours,

Candace Bartsch

A senior citizen asked his 80-year-old buddy….”I hear you’re getting married?” “Yep!” “Do I know her?” Nope!” “Is she
good lookin’?” “Not really!” “Is she a good cook?” “Naw, she can’t cook too well.” “Does she have lots of money?” “Nope!
Poor as a church mouse.” “Well, is she good in bed?” “I don’t know.” “Why marry her!?” “Because she can still drive!”

An elderly gentleman…….had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went
to the doctor and was able to be fitted for a set of hearing aids allowing the gentleman to
hear 100%. He returned in a month for a hearing checkup; the doctor said, “Your hearing
is perfect, your family must be very pleased that you can hear again.” He replied, “Oh, No,
I haven’t told my family yet. I just sit and listen. I’ve changed my will three times!”
Exuberant Morris, 82, went to the doctor for his annual physical….A week later, the
doctor called Morris and asked, “You’re doing OK, aren’t you?” A few days later, the Dr.
saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young lady on his arm! With greetings
of surprise, Morris said, “Doing what you said, Doc: ‘Get a hot mamma and be cheerful!”
The doctor replied, “I didn’t say that…I told you you’ve got a heart murmur; be careful!”

A Couple in Their Nineties……are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them
they are both physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember. Later that night.
while watching TV, the old man got up from his chair, “Honey, want anything while I’m in the kitchen?” he asks. “Will you
get me a bowl of ice cream?” “Sure, don’t you think you should write it down so you can remember it?” she asks. “No, I
can remember it.” “Well, I’d like some strawberries on top too. Maybe you should write it down so’s not to forget it?” He
says, “I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.” “I’d also like whipped cream. I’m certain
you’ll forget that, write it down,” she asks. Irritated, he says, “I don’t need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream
with strawberries and whipped cream – I got it, for goodness sake!” Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20
minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a
moment……..and asks, “Where’s my toast?”
The woman who creates and sustains a home, and
