                                Overview of Major Features:

Textbook Tracker 4.20.2 is a maintenance release in the 4.20 series, offering improved
performance, reliability and stability. We have also addressed a number of known issues
and implemented several minor enhancements.
                        Additional Key Enhancements and Changes:

Circulation:
• Corrected an issue affecting Central Union configurations that was causing items already
at their home site to erroneously be placed in transit when an in-stock hold was expired by
   daily-chores

Controller:
• We are now creating a copy of the client fcf configuration file in the respective client
support folders. This allows a manual copy and paste of these files as necessary for
  scripted or manual client installations
• Controlled Data Stations now perform daily chores randomly between midnight and 4 A.M.
to minimize the system load that would occur when all controlled Data Stations performed
these maintenance routines at exactly the same time

Export:
• Export will no longer prompt an operator for the location to save the export file. It can be
accessed and saved through Operation Management

Item / Patron Management:
• The Item and Patron Management windows will no longer check to see whether the
logged in operator has the necessary site permissions to edit or remove a record in
non-central union installations since restrictions based on site ownership are not
   applicable to single site installations
• Operators in Central Union installations will now be correctly greeted with a message
when they are unable to edit or remove a record due to not having the necessary
permissions to edit a particular sites records
• By popular demand we have reintroduced support for importing of middle initial. On
import, this data will be concatenated with the first name in the first name field, separated
   by a space

LDAP:
• Corrected an issue that prevented users from authenticating via LDAP from web clients

Operation Management:
• Once per day, Operation Management records older than 90 days will now be
  automatically removed

Preferences:
• Corrected an issue that prevented the preference to ignore Item and Patron barcode
leaders from functioning correctly when an operator was logged into the system
• Added a 'Play' button next to each sound event drop-down to play the current sound
• Check Out/In sounds now correctly play when an item is circulated
• Operator site access controls are no longer available in operator preferences for
non-Central Union configurations as they are not applicable and lead to confusion
Reports:
• Increased the font size for the Patron Details and Patron History reports
• Copy data is now displayed properly in the Item List - MARC report
• Removed duplicate subtitles from the Copy List - Detailed and Copy List - Complete
  reports
• Fixed Major Sorts for the Charges Forgiven, Patron Payment History, and the Refunds and
  Forgiven Amounts reports
• Added Available column to the Title List - Landscape report
• Corrected the total for Copy List - Compete report
• Corrected the total for Copy List - Detailed report
• Corrected the total for Charges Forgiven report
• ISBN selection fields in Reports, Exports, and Utilities, now accept alpha characters
• Added a ‘Number of Label Copies’ option to Patron Label reports
• Shelving sort is now behaving as a major sort
• Added Sort options to Patron Counts report
• Implemented a Reordering Details report

SIF:
• SIF running on a controlled data station with a separate IP now sends the correct URL to
   the ZIS in SIF_Register
• Changed requests for StaffPersonal to be made as single requests rather than bundling
   them into one request
• Corrected a registration error where the maximum buffer size was not increasing correctly

Utilities:
• Copies without Site Codes can now be removed via the Remove Copy utility
• Remove Patron and Copy utilities now properly respect an operators site access
permissions in Central Union configurations. Site access restrictions no longer interfere
   in non-Central Union systems

Web Workstation:
• Item and Patron Details now load correctly in Web Workstation
• System Preferences are accessible in Web Workstation again
• Find, in the Web Workstation Item Management window, will now respect non-filling
  characters

                                Overview of Major Features:

Textbook Tracker 4.20.1 is a maintenance release in the 4.20 series offering improved
performance, reliability and stability. This release also implements a number of minor
enhancements and addresses some reported issues as noted below.

                       Additional Key Enhancements and Changes:
Circulation:
• Added ‘Lost Copies’ option to the circulation menu.
• Rebuild, Archive, and Verify dates should now display correctly In the System Info tab of the
   Circulation window.

Controller:
• Corrected an issue where connected client workstations would use the controller’s
address or domain instead of the data stations unique IP. This caused connection
problems forcing some users to regularly reconfigure the workstations.
• Fixed a client connection issue that could arise when clients running in offline mode
reconnected to a controlled data station.

Central Administrator:
• Fixed a connection problem that could arise when switching between sites.

Import:
• Enhanced the %%delete%% flag for patron imports. You can now also clear the following
fields with this import flag: 2nd Location, Homeroom, Grade, Address, Address 2, City,
State, Postal Code, Country, Telephone, Cell, Email, Guardian, Contact Info, and
  Comments.

Inventory Helper:
• Improved performance of the Inventory Helper.
• Implemented minor adjustments to better orient and assist users with this tool.

Item Management:
• Previously the Add Title Assistant required a 5 character minimum for searches. We have
removed this limit. One of the mandatory fields must be specified, but it can be a single
   character if desired.
• Copy availability text in Item Management is now clickable when the window is locked.

Operation Management:
• Fixed a rare issue that could cause the operation queue to never finish running reports on
  certain machines.
• Fixed an issue where a removed report record could sometimes immediately reappear.

Preferences:
• Corrected an issue with saving preferences that could cause the preference data file to
grow to very large sizes in turn causing clients to struggle when connecting to the data
station as they must receive these files from the server to operate.

Reports:
• Returned classic behavior to all range selections in text selection fields.
• Corrected sorting issues in copy reports.
• Corrected a problem with the Boolean operators for the 'Days Overdue' selection.
• Fixed issues with Grade and Homeroom options.
• Library Use, On Repair, On Order, Archived, Unknown and In Processing have all been
added to the Copy Status selection in Copy reports.
• Reordering Details report is now properly displaying the Call Number and Author
  information for its circulation records.
• Corrected issues with Used Patron and Item Barcode Reports - some results that fall
outside of the selected range could be incorrectly included.
• Corrected an issue that could cause the incorrect balance owed to be displayed in
circulation reports for any charge transaction that had been partially forgiven.

Self Service:
• You can now clear the Self Service window with the 'Esc' key in addition to other existing
  methods.
• Enhanced error messages to be more visible to patrons when check in or check out fails.
• The Self Service window no longer becomes unusable after the Data Station performs an
  Archive or other such operation.

Sounds:
• Corrected issues with sound preferences that have been reported by some customers.
