WINE TASTING TO BENEFIT DOG PARK FUND

Cameron Park, CA – Dolce Vino Wine Bar in Cameron Park will host a wine tasting benefit on March 15,
2008 for El Dorado Dog Owners Guild (EDDOG), a non-profit group dedicated to creating and
promoting off-leash dog parks within El Dorado County. All net proceeds will go into a fund for the
formation of a dog park in Cameron Park.

There are currently no off-leash dog parks in El Dorado County, where it is estimated that almost half of
households own dogs. Dog parks provide exercise and socialization for dogs, making them better
behaved canine citizens, and dog parks have also been shown to deter crime in the vicinity, develop a
sense of community among neighbors who frequent the park, and even increase nearby home values.

The ticket price of $30 at the door ($25 if pre-paid by March 5th) is tax deductible, and entitles the donor
to attend the 3-hour wine tasting, which includes appetizers and door prizes. Doors open for the event at
5:00pm. Dolce Vino is located at 3490 Palmer Drive, in the Goldorado (Bel Air) Shopping Center in
Cameron Park. Tickets are limited, and may be purchased in advance from EDDOG members by
emailing cpdogpark@yahoo.com

Eden Halbert, President of EDDOG, says “We are grateful to Dolce Vino for supporting the efforts of our
organization, and grateful to our volunteers who give so generously of their time. We are lucky to live in
a community with people willing to volunteer and get involved in order to improve our neighborhoods
and our recreation opportunities.”

About EDDOG: EDDOG (also called CP DOG), is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization
made up of over 250 local residents who advocate the formation of off-leash dog parks in El Dorado
County. It was formed in 2005 by a group of Cameron Park dog owners who recognized that the
recreational and socialization needs of their dogs were not being met. The group's efforts include
community education, fundraising, and acting as liaison between dog owners and local governments or
park departments. For more information, or to join, visit their website at www.eddog.org or email
cpdogpark@yahoo.com

Eden Halbert, recently elected President of EDDOG, owns her own dog training and dog boarding
business in Placerville (www.sierra-dogs.com). She has a long history of community involvement and
successful park improvement projects, including starting two neighborhood park groups in San Francisco,
resulting in a $500K playground renovation, numerous improvements to a dog park, and institution of
regular park clean-up and beautification days.

About Dolce Vino: Dolce Vino wine bar and retail shop opened in 2004 in Cameron Park, and was
purchased in 2006 by its current owner, Ravel Haynes, who has over 20 years experience in restaurant
management. The shop offers different wine pourings each Friday night, as well as monthly “wine
university” events, which are special tastings organized around different wine regions or topics. For more
information, visit their website at www.dolce-vino.com
