Following on from the successful 2009 Gala format we have a few special announcements
to share with you…… Kids ( and adults too!) get your face painted by a real pro. Body
artist and face painter Carmel McCormick in will be in attendance at our Gala. Carmel is
internationally renowned and took out the Supreme Award for her entry in the 2008 NZ
Body Art Awards. Remember the naked painted people in the recent Air New Zealand TV adverts? That was Carmel ’ s
handiwork. Carmel will be available for face painting from 10am onwards.
All day live Entertainment was one of last year ’ s highlights and 2010 ’ s offering will be sure
to impress with the return of local legends The Balzat Family, The Scottish Pipe Band and
more surprise guests throughout the day.
2010 sees the live auction event return to the Gala featuring a once in a lifetime flight deck
experience from Air New Zealand, a weekend for two in Mangawhai, an advertising package with Times FM worth $800 and the
ever popular school car park – this year there are two up for grabs. Run by a professional auctioneers from Harcourts, the live
auction will kick off at midday and features a small number of high value and unique items. You could pick up a real bargain. A
silent auction including hampers, vouchers and smaller items donated by parents and local businesses will run throughout the
day. Or try your luck and purchase a mystery bag.
On that note….We are looking for donations of a variety of items to auction. Do you have something you could donate
to include in the auction? Please contact Ange Moore firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office 4268915.
