                            11. What is most effective about the support program in which your beginning teachers
                            participate?


Site Administrator 1        Consistent meetings with providers, effective feedback.
                            The structure in which the program is delivered. It's consistent and is relevent to what occurs in
Site Administrator 2        the classroom.


Site Administrator 3        They discuss lessons and instructional strategies with beginning teachers.

                            The topics covered in the monthly meetings are congruent with the needs of new teachers.
                            Many of our teachers have expressed much appreciation for the amount of support they have
                            received through the program. The guided support given is critical in helping our teachers
Site Administrator 4        develop their toolkit of strategies that will help them deliver effective instruction.

                            Non-evaluative, objective feedback given by quality classroom teachers. It means a lot to new
Site Administrator 5        teachers to be getting advice from proven teachers with reputations for being highly effective.
                            The amout of experience and knowledge base our support providers have. Professional, timely,
                            and always willing to go the extra mile for the betterment of students and the instructional
Site Administrator 6        practices.


Site Administrator 7        Weekly available to be in the rooms, assist, and directly support the teacher consistently.


Site Administrator 8        Providing the one on one direct in the classroom coaching.


Site Administrator 9        The direct weekly contact.


Site Administrator 10       That they maintain contact with new teachers on a weekly basis.

                            12. What, if anything, would you change about the support program in which your beginning
                            teachers participate?


Site Administrator 1        More time...2 hours per week--one in class and one outside of class.
                            To keep in mind that these are usually first year teachers. At times, rumors have been heard
                            that certain teachers should be let go. These new teachers will have areas in which they
Site Administrator 2        struggle. It's a long race to become a solid teacher, not a sprint.


Site Administrator 3        I would be great if induction coaches can meet with beginning teachers more than once a week.


Site Administrator 4        I wouldn't change anything at this point.


Site Administrator 5        No changes.
                            Nothing...Involving the Principals in the accountability piece of...if teachers are not keeping
                            appointments and or not completing paperwork in timely manner. Principals should be notified
Site Administrator 6        as that extra piece of accountability.


Site Administrator 7        None at this time.


Site Administrator 8        Nothing, at this time.


Site Administrator 9        No changes.

                            13. What feedback would you like to give each of the Induction Coaches assigned to your
                            teachers?
                            The induction teachers are very professional and are highly skilled. They have offered consistent
Site Administrator 1        support to the new teachers. They are extremely appreciated.

                            Strong focus on classroom mangagement and having high expectations for student
Site Administrator 3        achievement.
                            I would like to thank them for their consistency and dedication for believing in new teachers. I
                            understand that the coaches each had a caseload of about 20 teachers which is a significant
Site Administrator 4        number to handle but they did it with great professionalism.


Site Administrator 5        None other than thank you for your work.

                            Keep up the great work!!! It is nice to have Induction Coaches with Junior High experience. You
Site Administrator 6        play a major role in helping our new teachers become better instructors.

                            14. What recommendations do you suggest to strengthen the communication between the
                            principal and the Induction Coaches?


Site Administrator 1        I am happy with communication at this time.


Site Administrator 2        I'm fine with the current system.


Site Administrator 3        None. It is good now.


Site Administrator 4        I would like to continue to have the opportunity of meeting regulary with the induction coaches.


Site Administrator 5        Communication has been effective. I wouldn't recommend any changes.
                            See response #12...otherwise, things are great. Wouldn't change a thing. Great Induction
