your test paper and you will hear four short statements. The statements will be spoken TWO
TIMES. They will not be printed on your test paper, so you must listen carefully to understand

PART VII.    Directions : Questions 40 – 50 are based on a selection of reading materials, such as notices,
                           letters, forms, articles, and advertisements. You are to choose the one best answer
                           the questions (A), (B), (C), or (D). Answer all the questions following each
                           reading selection on basis of what is stated or implied in the selection.

      Listening to English song is one of the way to learn English. Pop songs can be quite interesting to help
you to learn English. The question is what kinds of songs are appropriate for helping people learn English.
      They are a relationship between music and person’s attitude. One may become sad or happy because of
what he/she is listening to. Whenever one is listening to a nice song, he tend to listen to it again and again.
      It is a good habit for students to try to understand English songs. By doing so, they will learn much new
English vocabularies. They can practice and check their English by singing and listening to English songs.
Universal pop songs are very useful because they are suitable for kinds of people from different places.
      Not all songs are suitable. Some songs have difficult structures and pronunciation and the students
cannot understand them easily. The song sung by ―Westlife‖ or ―Michael Learn to Rock‖ are good because
the pronunciation is clear.
