Harrison Bergeron vs

Harrison Bergeron vs. The Pedestrian
As we discussed in class, there are many similarities between these two stories, as
well as many differences. Exactly what those similarities/differences are, as well as their
significance (importance), is what we are going to explore in our next writing
assignment… the Compare/Contrast paper.
Simply put, comparing is noting the similarities between two things (stories, in
this case). Likewise, contrasting is noting the differences between to things (stories,
again). For this activity, you are to create a Venn Diagram that details the similarities
and differences between these two stories. No observation of yours is too small or
insignificant to put on this diagram. We will search through them next week to find out
what the really important ones are, and make that determination together. For today, I
simply want you to list all the ways that they are the same and all the ways that they are
different that you can think of.
