        Asbury Park is located on Asbury Road by Springreen Drive. Asbury Park has a baseball diamond,
        basketball court, two tennis courts, and two hard surface volleyball courts, all of which are lighted.
        Asbury Park also has an obstacle course, swings, slides, tot toys, picnic tables, grills, restrooms, a
        sand volleyball court and shelters. Information on reserving a shelter can be obtained by calling the

       The Mines of Spain Recreation Area and E.B.Lyons Interpretive and Nature Center are located on
       1380 acres of beautiful wooded and prairie land just south of Dubuque, IA. The area has been desig-
       nated as a National Historic Landmark and includes Julien Dubuque's Monument at a point just
       above where Catfish Creek meets the Mississippi. One of Iowa's "Watchable Wildlife Areas," it fea-
       tures the E.B. Lyons Interpretive Center which serves as the Visitor Center and the Park Office.
       Come see the Horseshoe Bluff Interpretive Trail, the 15 acre wetland, creeks, forest, prairies, crop-
       land, meadows and the Mississippi River from a bald eagle's view. Picnic with us, go for a hike or
       cross country ski on one of our many trails and maybe you will capture a glimpse of a song bird, bob-
       cat, red-shouldered hawk, flying squirrel, white-tailed deer, wild turkey or various butterflies along the
       Mississippi River Bluffland.

        Offers 62 wooded acres along the meandering course of spring-fed Catfish Creek which is stocked
        with trout by the Iowa DNR each year. Located 4.5 miles southwest of Dubuque off Highway 20 west
        or Highway 151 south. This park was named for the original settlers of the area. The park contains
        shaded picnic areas along the rocky creek banks, offering cool relief from summer's heat. Complete
        picnic areas, a playground, and sports fields, in addition to modern camping sites with shower and
        restroom facilities makes Swiss Valley a truly family-oriented recreation area. Picnic pavilions are
        available to rent. Winter camping, ice fishing for trout, and cross-country skiing round out the year. A
        year round Park Ranger is in residence at this site. The Swiss Valley Nature Preserve and Center is
        located one mile from the park, offers additional trout fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing on
        groomed trails, and a visitor center with interpretive displays.
