New Rubber Sheet Registration Function
This tool translates, rotates, scales and stretches images and surveys to known locations. It uses the
Beier-Neely Algorithm which was originally used for smoothing character transformations in movies.
This is especially useful when you have a dxf and an image that was scanned into the computer. You can
move, rotate and stretch the image to fit the dxf. You can perfect that fit as closely as you want. Images
can be JPEGs (.jpg), Bitmaps (.bmp), Tagged Image Files (.tiff) and Graphics Interchange Format (.gif).
To use this on an image, import that image into the Images Folder in the Project Tree. Right-click on the
image name in the Project Tree and select Rubber-Sheet Image. You can either manually draw vectors
in the Edit View by clicking, dragging and releasing, or click the vector start point (tail) in the Edit View,
type in the end point coordinates, then press Add Vector.
To learn about this, and other New Features, check out the New Features Overview that was/will be
sent with every Version 9.0 DVD. It is also saved into your Omni 3D Design 9.0/Vista Seismic Processing
9.00 folder when you load the DVD. Movies have also been created by our programmers, Randy and
Sharon, describing how to use the New Features. These can be found under Help in the Menu Bar,
