All sessions start at the times listed above. You may register in advance using the form on the Council web site
(preferred) or register at the door beginning 30 minutes before the start time listed. Please register in advance to
ensure that we have enough materials for you. Pre-registration is required for all Venturing Leader Training,
Varsity Coach Training, Leader Outdoor Experience and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.

Please note that pre-registration is always requested and encouraged, but is mandatory for:
Venturing Leader Training - Preregistration is required one week before event.
Varsity Coach Training - Preregistration is required one week before event.
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (Boy Scout leaders) - Preregistration is required two weeks
before event in order to form patrols and plan for necessary gear.

Fee includes participant’s notebook, handouts and one of the following:
Cub Leader Handbook and handouts Scoutmaster Handbook and handouts
Troop Committee Guide Book and handouts Venturing Leader Manual and handouts
The basic (without a notebook and handouts) fee for all indoor sessions is $2. The fee of $20 includes a
participant notebook with handouts and the program specific handbook. Lunch is not included for SM/ASM
training; please bring your own lunch.

The fee for Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is $17, which includes $15 for 3 meals and cracker barrel
(lunch & dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday) and $2 for training materials and supplies.

Venturing Leader Training and Varsity Coach Training require pre-registration and payment of fees - no
walk-ins will be accepted. Please complete and mail the registration form and payment at least one week
before training event. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is for Boy Scout Leaders and requires pre-
registration and payment of fees - no walk-ins will be accepted. Please complete and mail the registration
form and payment at least two weeks before training event.

Leader Outdoor Experience is for Cub Scout Leaders and is conducted by Greater Saint Louis Area
Council. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins will be accepted. Registration forms are available at
the GSLAC offices or at www.stlbsa.org under “Training”.
If you have previously taken some Scout Leader training in any Council, District or on line (like “This is Scouting or “Youth
Protection”), please bring your training card or other certification with you. It helps keep our training records better up to
date and confirms when your may wear the Trained strip.
