P.O. Box 410953

Melbourne, FL 32941

Dear Mrs. Threadgill,

As you know, Morning Star Christian Academy initiated the accreditation process with the International

Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) in 2007. After initiating a comprehensive self-study, the school

achieved “Provisional Accreditation” status with ICAA in 2009. I visited the school in October 2009 and was

impressed with the quality of the school and the continued diligent work toward completion of the school’s

self-study and the commitment to reach, maintain, and document full compliance with all ICAA standards.

Obviously, the work of the school was disrupted by the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in January

2010. I was amazed, however, at how quickly the school rebounded and was able to resume classes. I visited

the school again in October 2010. In spite of the challenges faced by the school due to the continuing impact

of the earthquake in Haiti, I found that the school had continued to make great strides in its pursuit of ICAA

accreditation. I found that the self-study was almost complete and the school was in a position to

demonstrate compliance with ICAA standards. I felt the school was ready to receive an accreditation site team

to visit the school and evaluate its readiness to achieve “Accredited” status. After discussions with you, we

tentatively planned an accreditation site visit for Spring 2011.

However, I regret to inform you that the ICAA accreditation site visit for Morning Star Christian Academy has

been postponed until early Fall 2011. Please understand that nothing has changed at the school to cause this

delay. The delay is due totally to conflicts with my schedule and needs in the ICAA office. Though I feel the

school is ready to receive an accreditation site visit and would be able to demonstrate compliance with ICAA

standards, I am unable to gather a site team and schedule a visit before your school year ends in June.

I deeply apologize for the delay, but definitely look forward to bringing a site team to visit the school next fall.

Thank you for your graciousness and understanding.

Sincerely,

Donnie Peal, Ed.D.
