CRASH Movie Permission Slip The movie “Crash” will be shown at Rockhurst High School in the Rose Theater on Friday, March 30th at 7:30. “Crash” is a movie about the diverse melting pot of post-9/11 in Los Angeles. This movie examines fear and bigotry from multiple perspectives as characters careen in and out of one another’s lives. The movie is being presented by the M.E.E.T. (Multi-ethnic Educational Team) Club, a group of Rockhurst students from different ethnic, religious, cultural and socioeconomic groups that come together to celebrate their heritage as well as educate others about bias, bigotry and racism. Our mission is to educate the Rockhurst community on diversity and show them that as “men for other” we can make a difference in the world by accepting and embracing people for who they are, not what they look like. “Crash” is rated “R” and recommended for student 17 and older. Please sign below if you give your student permission to watch the movie in class and be involved in the discussion following. If you have any questions, please call Carol Dougherty, Counselor/Moderator of the MEET Club. I give my son/daughter _____________________________________ permission to watch the movie “Crash” in theology class and participate in a discussion following the movie. Parent
