HOW IT WORKS:
Enter online by going to komonews.com/summerpics. Submit your pictures. Pictures must be taken in Downtown
Seattle. The entry with the most votes wins.
Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries, and vote tally.
Entry deadline is 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Saving Time on August 31, 2010.
Sweepstakes dates valid July 1 – August 31, 2010.
ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & OFFICIAL RULES:
By entering this sweepstakes, entrant agrees to, and accepts all rules and eligibility
requirements listed below:
ELIGIBILITY:
By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the
decisions of KOMO 4, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
All contestants must be U.S. citizens or green card holders, and residents of Western Washington (Snohomish, Thurston, Kitsap, Island,
Pierce, Mason, Jefferson, Skagit, Kittitas, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Cowlitz, Whatcom, San Juan, Chelan, Clallum and King Counties). Contest is
void where prohibited.
One (1) Grand Prize: Two (2) tickets to opening night of “Burn the Floor” at the Paramount Theatre on September 14th, 2010 in Seattle. The
Grand Prize also includes: one (1) night hotel accommodation (one room, double occupancy) at Hotel Vintage Park in Seattle on September
14th. Value: $1000 estimated.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Prize package and components therein are not
exchangeable or redeemable for cash; are subject to terms and conditions of use as stated thereon. All other expenses not described in prize,
description above (including, but not limited to, ground transportation, meals besides those mentioned, food & beverage, mini-bar, room
service, baggage fees (where applicable), laundry, and gratuities) and taxes and fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and
a credit card may be required at the time of check-in .

One entry per person. Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of the number of email addresses or accounts a person may have.
Multiple entries in excess of this limitation or mass entry attempts will result in disqualification of all entries by such person. Entries must be
manually key-stroked; use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited. In the event of a dispute over who submitted an online entry,
the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account identified on the online entry form. The
authorized account holder is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service
provider, or online organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Entries become the property of KOMO 4 and will not be returned.
The entry with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie – a random drawing will determine the winner. Odds of winning depend
of number of entries and vote tally.
Photos or comments displaying nudity or profanity will not be accepted. Photos must demonstrate they were taken in Downtown
Seattle. Photos must be approved by administrator.
All entries must be received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period in order to participate. The Website’s database clock will be the official time
keeper for online entries in this Sweepstakes. The Released Parties shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information
whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any
technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. The Released Parties assume no responsibility
or liability for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries.
Winner will be notified by phone or e-mail on September 1st, 2010.
KOMO 4 Television will make every attempt to contact the winner via telephone and/or email. If winners do not reach KOMO TV by
September 3rd by 9am following the selection another winner will be randomly drawn from the number of eligible entries collected online. The
prize must be claimed by September 7th, 2010 or the prize will be forfeited and the unclaimed prize will be returned for selection of another
winner. No mechanically reproduced, illegible, incomplete, forged, software-generated or other automated multiple entries will be accepted.
The winner is responsible for transportation to and from their home, the hotel and theatre.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not redeemable for cash, credit, are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and are non-
endorsable. KOMO 4 is not responsible for replacing tickets from cancelled shows/events.
If winner is unable to travel during the date designated by KOMO 4, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety. In the event the prize winner is
able to participate in the performance date designated by KOMO 4 but the “Burn The Floor” performance does not or cannot take place as
scheduled or at all, for reasons including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, cancellations, postponement, location changes, an event of
force majeure, or for any other reason, then KOMO 4 reserves the right to award the remainder of the prize with no further obligation to the
winner. Excepting the preceding sentence, no cash alternative or prize substitutions will be allowed, except KOMO 4 reserves the right to
substitute prize(s) of comparable value if a prize listed or any portion thereof is unavailable for any reason.
The winner agrees to pay all expenses, taxes & fees, gratuity, incidentals, meals, and activities (including transportation to and from Hotel
Vintage Park and The Paramount Theatre), not included in the prize. KOMO 4 will report to the government any winnings totaling over $600 (in
cash or fair market value) in a one-year period. Winners will be notified in a 1099 Form if any earnings are reported and are responsible for
payment of all taxes on any prize(s).
The winner must complete a W-9 tax form as well as a Winner’s Release and Agreement in which they agree, among other things, that their
names, voice, and/or likenesses may be used by KOMO 4 Television for promotional purposes and that KOMO 4 Television and its employees
and its contest partners are not liable for any claims arising from directly or indirectly from winning this promotion.
***The winner must complete these forms based on the estimated grand prize value. The final value may change requiring the winner to
complete a second set of forms with the actual value.
There is no substitution, cash equivalent or cash value for the prizes.
KOMO 4 Television is not responsible for any conditions or circumstances that interfere with the winner’s ability to reach KOMO 4 Television or
to claim their prize.
KOMO 4 Television reserves the right to change or reschedule the promotional giveaway without notice due to programming or any other
circumstances beyond the station’s control.
Entrants agree that KOMO 4 Television, Downtown Merchants Association, Broadway at the Paramount and Kimpton Hotels shall not be liable
for losses or injuries (including any property loss, personal injury or death) of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or
use/misuse of prize, participation in contest, any human error or any technical malfunctions of the telephone or computer network or delays in
postal or other delivery service.
KOMO 4, Downtown Merchants Association, Kimpton Hotels and Broadway at the Paramount. do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or
inaccurate capture of entry information, including but not limited to technical malfunctions, human or technical error, typographical errors of any
kind, seeding or printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of: any telephone
or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or
altered are void. In the event this contest is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, KOMO 4
reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the contest and in such event, to select a winner by random drawing from among all valid
entries received up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension.
KOMO 4, Fisher Broadcasting - Seattle Radio L.L.C. and Fisher Communications. or any other television, or radio station and each of their
respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies as well as each of
their respective successors, representatives and assigns, and each of their respective officers, directors and employees, (collectively, the
“Released Parties”) and the immediate family members, and/or those living in the same household of each, are ineligible to enter the
Sweepstakes or win a prize.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes prize winner’s permission for KOMO 4, Kimpton Hotels, Downtown Merchants Association, Broadway at the
Paramount to use prize winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and address (city and state) for
advertising and/or publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further
compensation. KOMO 4 is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such
information or materials, at KOMO 4 sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. Entrants agree that the Released Parties (A)
shall not be responsible or liable for, and are hereby released from, any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including,
without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-
related activity, or from entrants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize, and (B) have not made any warranty,
representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any prize, including, without limitation, to such prize’s quality or
fitness for a particular purpose.
KOMO 4 reserves the right to terminate, change and/or amend the contest dates and rules at any time.
Fraudulent entries will be subject to prosecution. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be
tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or the website, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be
acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes, or to
annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such
person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
