1 Information and Criteria for Award
  High School students age 13 and up have an opportunity to win up to $25,000 in scholarship awards and an
  expense-paid trip to Universal orlando. The challenge begins with an online quiz from Jan. 9-17. Click on
  http://www.aaa.com/TravelChallenge to register and complete. The top five scores in each state will then take
  a 40 question proctored, written exam in March. The top scorer will advance to the national contest in May at
2 Universal Orlando in Orlando, Florida. Over $100,000 will be awarded.

   Sir Alexander Fleming Scholars must be in Oklahoma at the time of high school graduation, at least 16 years
   of age, classified as a high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior at the time of application, be
   a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or have unrestricted employment authorization in accordance with
   applicable Immigration and Naturalization Service regulations and willing to commit to the program's eight
   week time frame, which begins the first Sunday following memorial day. Scholars are selected based on
   academic standing and aptitude in science and math,recomendations from teachers, principals and
   counselors and essays written as part of the scholarship Program. Fleming scholars will be working as a
   scholar and scientific aide at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City. Applicants can

   For high school seniors who are interested in journalism, electronic media, advertising, public relations and
   professional writing who would like to study at the University of Oklahoma. Each applying student must (1)
   complete the application form, (2) provide two letters of recommendation, and (3) a copy of the official high
   school seven-semester transcript, and (4) an essay describing personal goals. The student must write the
   essay. Awards are up to $5,000 for four years and several are awarded each year in different media areas.
   Deadline of February 6 is when applications must be in the office. The Awards Committee will begin

   Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling is offering three $1,000 scholarships for students
   graduating in May or June. Students must complete the application found at www.gpacac.net and attach a
   personal essay. Essays will be reviewed for content, grammar and creativity. Primary basis for selection will
   be the essay; however, students must have their highest ACT score ranging between 22 and 28. The
   academic section will be used as auxiliary information. Winners are notified in late April if they are selected.
   Participants are judge based on their initial application, on-site debates and participation during the week.
   Multiple students receive scholarships in the first roung and the total number of students selected dictates how

   $2,500 scholarship has been established to honor and carry on the legacy of Jason Wagner who died of a
   sudden heart attack Dec. 15, 2005 at the age of 40. Mr. Wagner was an attorney whose practice was
   dedicated primarily to representing the Association of County Commissions of Oklahoma. It is the goal of the
   Foundation to award college scholarships to students who exemplify the characteristics of integrity, intelligence
   and kindness. Students must complete an application and attach up to a one page essay to describe what
   achievements you have accomplished and/or goals you believe that will serve to benefit others and inspire

   GHS may nominate one student to compete for the Congressional district's $1,000 scholarship. Nominee
   must: A) Be an eligible impact aid graduating senior. B) Be attending an Oklahoma institute for higher
   learning next year. C) Be willing to timely submit an application and write and submit a mini essay entitled "If I
   Were President of the United States, I Would..." ad part of the application. The mini essay shall be double
   spaced, not longer than two pages and typed with a number 12 font. At the local level, it will be judged by a
   panel selected by the superintendent or designee. D) Attach a recommendation from one school staff
   member and one community memnber. Competition will be judged on a 100 point basis, 7o points for the
   essay, 10 points for in-school activities, 10 points for out-of-school community activities, and 10 points for the
   recommendations. Essay will be judged for content, organization, grammar, spelling and appearance. See

   OEF annually offers several scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 which must be used in an engineering
   curriculum at OSU, OU, TU, Oklahoma Christian University or Oral Roberts University. To qualify, student
   must have at least a 3.0 GPA but not over 32 on the ACT. The pre-qualification form and the application form
   itself are available only via the internet. Interested students should to to http://www.ospe.org click on the OEF
   button, then click the scholarships link under Activities. The Internet process will ask the student to answer a
   pre-qualification questionnaire. If properly qualified, he or she will be able to download an electronic copy of
   the OEF scholarship application form. Student should complete the application, print it, include required
   signatures and attachments, then mail it to the appropriate Regional Scholarship Coordinator (see addendum
93 to the application.)
   Students compete for scholarships by testing over Oklahoma History. There is one scholarship per county.
   The exam will be given at Gore Schools on March 3, 2012 in the high school cafeteria.

     The Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors Scholarship program will provide financial assistance assistance to
     those applicants who are seeking a career as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. Scholarships will be
     awarded to applicants who have demonstrated talent and achievement in the areas of leadership, citizenship,
     and genuine interest in land surveying. Amount of scholarship will vary depending on number of applicants.

      The Oklahoma Schools Insurance Group (OSIG) will be awarding twelve scholarships to 12 graduating seniors
      who attend OSIG member schools. The three finalists from each state quadrant will be vying for a $2,000,

    The Oklahoma State University Native American Faculty and Staff Association will award one male and one
    female incoming freshmen $1,000 each, based on availability of funds. The applicant must have a Native
    American background, be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident. The applicant must attend OSU-Stillwater
    as a full-time student and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Student must take a minimum of 12 hours.
    Four $2,000 and one $3,000 scholarships are awarded annually to incoming freshmen. To apply you must

    2006. At least 34 scholarships will be awarded in amounts of $2,500 and $1,000.


      Seniors planning to major in chemical engineering at the University of Oklahoma may apply for one of many

    contacted for an interview. Students who are chosen into the program receive full tuition, fees, books, on-

    To be chosen into Rogers State University PLC program, high school seniors must have at least a 21 ACT and
    complete the application and interview process. Students chosen will receive a $3,500 annual scholarship.
    Al's Formal Wear will grant two $2,500 college scholarships to graduating seniors. Information is in the

    An OHLAP partnership, Sooner Promise is a four year OU scholarship program whereby eligible students will
    receive funding to cover a pre-set amount for 15 credit hours of tuition and mandatory fees for up to four
    years. It is available to all Oklahoma's Promise-OHLA students who are admitted to and enroll at OU, receive
    OHLAP funding, complete the FAFSA by March 1 and maintain progress toward graduation in four years at
124 OU.

    Students must have completed and submitted the Tulsa Community College Admission Application,
    Scholarship Application, and the TCC State Regents Tuition Waiver Application. Counselor must submit
127 name for the Leadership Scholarship by April 3.

    Seniors with a 3.5 GPA who demonstrates current involvement in student organizations, student activities,
    commmunity service, or service organizations and who plan to attend TCC must complete the Provost Scholar
    application, complete a Tulsa Community College-Oklahoma State Regents Tuition Waiver application, submit
    two letters of recommendation from GHS faculty or community representatives to the Dean of Student
    services on the campus you plan to attend, submit a typed 150 - 200 word essay addressing the question "If
    selected as a TCC Provost Scholar, how will you continue to distinguish yourself as a student leader, scholar,
128 and/or community servant?"
    Application includes short essay. All seniors applying to TCC should submit this application.

      Student must have a 3.0 GPA and attend one of the campuses of Tulsa Community College.

    This program will award 100 renewable scholarships, valued at $10,000 or $20,000 payable over four years for
    high school seniors who attend a college or university the fall following graduation. Students are selected
    based on outstanding academic recod, effective leadership and well-documented records of service both
    within and without the school setting. The distinguishing characteristic will be the overall impact of the
    student's contributions in the areas of community service. School may nominate only one student. See

    $1,800 for college students and $1,200 for graduating high school seniors. For Native American or Alaskan
    students interested in pursuing higher education in Natural Resources. Students must submit: 1) Letter of
    Application up to 2 pages in length demonstrating: (a) an interest in Natural Resources, (b)a commitment to
    education, community/culture, (c)academic merit and (d) financial need. All four points should be addressed
    in the letter. 2) Resume. 3) Three letters of reference. 4) Validated enrollment in a federally recognized Tribe
    or Native Alaska Corporation, as established by the U.S. Government. 5) Provide documented proof of
    application to an institution of higher education to study in the area of Natural Resources along with high
