ELDER SCROLLS SKYRIM
Best Way To Level Alchemy Fast
v1.0
Alchemy is the slowest professions to level in my opinions. Not to mention you need to get a hold of a
lot of ingredients which is really annoying, not to mention you need certain combinations to make a
potion.
Anyway, here's the steps to level your alchemy fast :
1. Buy a lot of ingredients at your local alchemist. Use the reload trick (see TIPS below) to save
time. If you been following my guide, then you should have a lot of money from selling Iron
Daggers. Keep buying ingredients until you have around 20 each or more.
2. Brew your potions. I recommend using some kind of web calculator/app to keep track of what
ingredient you have and they will tell the highest profit potions possible with what you have.
http://rp.eliteskills.com/skyrim.html is one example. I think Ipad/IPhone also has app that does
this.
3. Sell some potions for some profit back. Even this will still feel a bit slow, especially on high
level alchemy. I recommend you combine this with learning from the alchemy trainer 5 skills
level each time you level up and you will get to 100 alchemy level in no time. Keep in mind the
Master Alchemy trainer (up to lv 90), Babette is at Dark Brotherhood so you need to join them
in order to get access to the the trainer. If you don't like the Dark Brotherhood quest line, you
can just do the early quest to join them and when you got access to their Sanctuary, go straight
for the Alchemy trainer, and ignore other npcs and their quest completely ^_^ You will get
access to their Sanctuary at the early chain of the quest so not a lot work to get there.
TIPS : Since merchants only restock their items/gold every two days or so, to make the merchants
refresh their items/gold faster, just do this: Buy some items, Quick Save your game (F5), kill the
merchant, and Quick Load your game (F9), buy again, and repeat. This way the merchant will refresh
everything he/she has with new items, and with that a fresh amount of gold.
Why the game do this you ask? Because it seems the game has a mechanic that when a NPC is dead,
the game will reset them in memory, so when you load back your previous state of the game, the NPC
will came back will a new set of items and gold. Yes, this maybe considered as a glitch, although i say
this is simply that taking advantage of the way the game works ^_^ and it's a lot faster than waiting 48
hours each time. If you have a problem with this then just wait about 42-48 hours game time and they
will refresh, but surely this will be a lot slower.
