27–400 Instructor-Led Training
Introduction to d’Vinci Interactive Adobe Authorized Training

d’Vinci Interactive is an Adobe Authorized Training partner and has trained hundreds of students from all across the U.S. and
England, and we can help you quickly get the most out of your investment. We bring real-world experience to our courses.
Our hands-on classes deliver a rich learning experience for those who want to get the most out of their Adobe product
immediately.

We’ve been teaching Adobe software since 1995 and we use Authorware, Flash, and Dreamweaver daily in our production
studio. When not teaching, our instructors are honing their skills creating eLearning, interactive websites, multimedia
promotional pieces and more. Samples of our work can be viewed in our online portfolio (http://www.dvinci.com/portfolio).

Types of Classes Offered by d’Vinci Interactive, Inc.

Currently we limit our training to:

our studio.

errors, tips for remembering shortcuts and multimedia and instructional design hints that will help to make your
finished product more engaging. We are not offering online training.

Product Description:

This 2-day CSS course is designed to introduce CSS concepts and teach website design using (X)HTML and CSS.

Using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for design, layout and development of Web pages has dramatically changed the way
developers and designers build web sites. Creating Web standards-compliant (X)HTML for content and using CSS for
design, layout and presentation requires today's developers to "think" CSS as they design and code websites.

This course will assist learners in how to make the switch from table-based Web page design to design and layout using CSS,
provide an overview of authoring websites using CSS, introduce the major concepts required to code Web standards-
compliant (X)HTML using CSS for presentation, and introduce the concepts, techniques, properties, and values of CSS

Audience: This course is designed for graphic designers and programmers who want to learn basic HTML page layout.

Prerequisites: A basic understanding of simple HTML tags is assumed.

Product Description:

Flash 8: ActionScript is a 3-day course that provides experienced Flash designers the knowledge to create dynamically
generated animation and interactive games. This course begins by teaching fundamental programming techniques including
instance names, variables, functions, properties, and method; then proceeds through conditions, loops, event handling, and
animating with ActionScript.

The information taught in this course, except where noted by the instructor, can be used with all of the most recent versions
of Flash.

Audience: This course is for experienced Flash designers.

Prerequisites: To take this course, you should have completed the Adobe Flash: Rich Content Creation course, or have
equivalent experience, and have the desire to learn how to program Flash content using ActionScript.

27–500 Course Development: Custom eLearning (WBT and CBT) courseware development for the Web
and CD-ROM
d’Vinci Interactive, Inc. develops custom Web- and CD-based courses for corporate and government clients. Since our founding in
1994, we have been creating computer-based training courses for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and they continue to be a
strong client of ours. (We have created over a dozen training and educational products for different Offices and Institutes at the NIH.)
When performing custom development, we approach projects from one of two ways:

1. Client Provides Content 2. d’Vinci Provides Instructional Design
With this approach, content is provided to d’Vinci When d’Vinci performs the Instructional Design, our
Interactive in a format that would generally be approach involves working closely with the client to
considered ready-to-use. d'Vinci essentially follows design and develop a course that meets and/or
the client’s instructions, offering feedback and exceeds expectations, within the budget established.
suggestions as appropriate, but essentially letting the
           client handle the Instructional Design.

In addition to Instructional Design, d’Vinci Interactive offers these services:

 Creative artistic design, including creating comic characters
 Custom interface design that is appropriate to the content
 Programming using tools such as Authorware, Flash, Dreamweaver, Captivate, RoboHelp, WebDNA, PHP and MySQL
 Programming using Web standards: XHTML and DHTML, including JavaScript and CSS for backwards and forwards
compatibility with any browser or platform
 Multimedia, including animation, audio and video production
 Information architecture design that will work with most LMS
 ADA Section 508 compliant programming for accessibility
 Online testing of every variety
 Sophisticated student tracking and administrative reporting customized for specific needs
      SCORM compliance

In addition to our work with the NIH, we have also developed courses for the following Federal Government agencies: The U.S.
Department of Education, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Park Service and the U.S. Navy and we have served as
Authorware consultants for the U.S. Army. We have served as subcontractors for projects with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast
Guard.

Pricing for projects is generally based on a fixed price, though we often work time and material under a ceiling price whenever
projects cannot be well defined. When estimating, we use per-hour rates to calculate the total costs. Through GSA, we are willing to
offer the same high level of services at the rates noted below.
