Addendum No. 1
ITB 1100MC – Tektronix’s Equipment for Engineering and Computer Science
1. Vendor Question: What lead time is required on item 004? As an authorized distributor for
Tektronix’s, we must be notified by contract at least 60 days in advance of any new product
introduction. We have not been notified of this product, which means public announcement is at
least 60 days away. Further, the lead time on the initial introduction of other Tektronix Dc power
supplies last year was tainted by lead times of 4-6 months. How long are you willing to wait for
delivery on these?
UCF Answer: Tektronix is expecting our order, and with the exception of Item 004, an authorized
distributor should be able to have the order drop shipped to us for delivery on August 22, which
will be just-in-time for our Fall classes. Tektronix will hopefully ship Item 004 in September, but if
not, we can wait longer for Item 004. If you are not familiar with this model, please refer to your
Tektronix rep. For the Southeast District, his name is Neil Ellenback.
2. Vendor Question: Are you willing to accept an alternate that meets all salient characteristics,
except for using Tek Signal Express Software? In other words, are these supplies going to be
used on the bench top or will they actually be programmed at some future point?
UCF Answer: We are not willing to accept an alternative. We are interested in the software. But
more importantly, we are already using this model oscilloscope, multimeter, and function
generator in our classes. This order is to increase the number of students that we can
accommodate. We have found that mixing different models causes confusion and delay.
3. Vendor Question: I am a local vendor in the Orlando area. I was interested in your request for
the various Tektronix equipment and I needed to know if you are looking to rent or buy the
equipment?
UCF Answer: We want to purchase these instruments.
4. Vendor Question: Regarding the power supplies that you requested, I am having a hard time
finding the part number PWT-4031. Can you please verify that is the correct number?
UCF Answer: I understand and yes it is correct. I suggest contacting your Tektronix rep. For the
Southeast District, his name is Neil Ellenback
