Difference between Preventive care and Diagnostic

Care:

Preventive care is care that the doctors like to do to prevent something

from happening to you in the future. For example if you are given an

immunization for varicella (chicken pox) the doctors are doing this to

prevent you from getting chicken pox in the future.

Diagnostic care on the other hand is done when doctors have already

detected that you have symptoms of something and they are now

looking to diagnose what is causing those symptoms.
