Beta Angle Restrictions
• OMI has requested a reduced solar beta angle control
box to be consistent with the initial 18 months of the
mission
– Maintain 18.3-31.2 deg, which has been our historical
range
• An upcoming November 2008 excursion is inevitable
– Due to an agreement not to perform inclination maneuvers
until Spring, 2009
• At least 9 maneuvers eliminates the excursions in
November, 2009 and 2010
– Potential for slight updates to the Aura maneuver plan as
MLT predictions improve nearing the Spring of 2009
• Updating the duration of each Aura maneuver
