Part 1: Unit Planning Template

Teacher: Angie S. Jones

Subject(s)/Course(s):Library/Technology Grade/Level: 6th

Unit Topic/Focus: Internet Safety

Integration with other content areas (if applicable) all areas

Estimated time for implementation: Four, 1hour class periods

Connections to previous/future learning: Students are allowed to access the network
only after they have had AUP training. Once students are online, they need to have the
tools they need to keep them safe online. This unit address online safety. With the
addition of a wireless, rolling lab students can potentially access the network and/or
Internet from any room in the school. Having the knowledge of online safety will benefit
them in all content areas.
