Mapping / GIS
Proficient in Mapping and gazetteer technologies and associated software, tools, applications and
standards. Spatial data management and the use of spatial data together with tools to create
complex maps for operational and non-operational use. Surrey Police line of business
applications that have mapping or GIS components and how those components run across
the various layers of infrastructure. Understanding of interfacing and data transfer between
Mapping / GIS services and other applications and tools. Examples: Geomedia, MapInfo,
MapBasic, Oracle Spatial Data, NLPG, BS7666, NAG/NESG, ICAD mapping interface
National/International Standards
Familiar With Standards associated with IT practice nationally and internationally. Examples: IEEE 802.3

data quality or locks, updating records, auditing and resolution of end-user issues related to
