1974–75 Vancouver Canucks first division title under this new alignment, and as a re-

sult reached the playoffs for the first time. The Canucks

Smythe Division Champions earned a first round bye and played in the quarter-finals

Division 1st Smythe against the Montreal Canadiens; the Canucks lost 4 games

to 1.

Conference 4th Campbell

This season also marked the first, and as of 2010, the

1974–75 record 38-32-10 (86 points) only season in which the Canucks played without a team

captain.
