If you want to buy iPhone 4 With Retina Display of 960X640 Pixel Resolution at 326 ppi, then don't

be confused. I had a lot of people inquiring me about the meaning and relevance of this unique

spec for their new gadget. The iPhone 4G indeed has something called "Retina Display Support"

as claimed by Apple. What they mean is that the human eye can only see around 300 pixels per

inch and iPhone 4 has been created with 326 pixels per inch. This in effect makes the text and

images look so smooth and dithered that its hard for human eye to differentiate between a screen

display and a high quality printed version of the same screenshot.

The next question you must be having is that what exactly is the relevance of this specification and

how is it beneficial for the new slimmer, HD-ready iPhone 4 for sale? How does it compare with

other current screen technologies?

When compared to the now $99 iPhone 3GS, which has a 163ppi screen with a 480-by-320

resolution, it should be easy for you to imagine how better the new screen display will appear.

During the product launch of the iPhone 4, Steve Jobs explained this in detail with demonstration

too. In simple words, Apple phone's display is an LCD that generates super high pixel density by

squeezing a 960-by-640-pixel resolution into 3.5 inches, a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch

(ppi). What is important to take notice is that the Retina display of this version gives it four times

better resolution than the previous iPhones; its screen size is unaltered, thus resulting in double

the pixel density.

Steve Jobs did point out during his product launch speech that after a certain point the human eye

fails to distinguish individual pixels. According to the Apple CEO the optimum pixel number when

the line gets completely blurred is around 300ppi. Therefore, with the iPhone 4's screen containing

more than 300 pixels per inch (326ppi) the display is designed to create crisp and sharp imageries

with jagged edges invisible.

One more added benefit of Apple's retina display is an highly enhanced contrast ratio which is 4

times higher than its earlier iPhones. The backlit super sleek LED also contains In-Plane Switching

(IPS) technology to improve viewing angles and improve its color display too.

You may not be knowing that Apple is not the first to use such high resolution screen in their

smartphone. Google has also been using a resolution of 800-by-480 pixels in their OLED screen.

Apple just gave it a better marketable and appealing term to it.

So now you can enjoy super crisp text in books, web pages, emails at any size. All images in

games, movies, and photos will be sharper than ever before.

You don't have to be an expert to tell that this is the best phone by far. And if you are inspired

enough, you have hundred other reasons to invest in iPhone 4. I recommend you to Buy iPhone 4
