Technology – a welcomed friend or feared enemy
A complete word with incomplete meaning, this word ´Technology´ is a mixture of friend and
enemy for every creature of this planet and even for this planet also. Life without technology seems
to be dull, whereas life with technology feels to be missing something. They say nothing is perfect
in this universe, so might be the action of technology upon us. Technology knows no history and it
has no ending point at all. Even before the creation of human being, technology existed, either in
the group of some organisms or in the actions of some molecules. Today technology is vast; it has
its own many branches. You have lots of option under the field of technology to study about it. One
can never master complete technology, since technology has developed continuously with the
development of human beings. Some technology even exists in the group of animals, birds, insects
and other species, but it is hard to trace, except some. Technology, to be accepted as a friend or fear
varies differently with different heads.
As each creature and human is different than another one, the same is in the case of technology; it
varies in thought of every creature differently. Some people think that technology is a concept of
human brain, but it is not. Technology is technology in itself; it has no parents, spouse or children at
all. It only has its branches and is willing to grow more branches each and every day dreaming to
rule this universe one day, not thinking about creatures and belongings of this universe where might
this expansion lead, the technology never cares. One has to be perfect in the selection of technology
to stay away from the danger of being eaten up by technology. If you stay away and use technology
than it is your friend but if you stay with technology than it is going to be the terror of your life.
Now, you can choose, either you want a friend or an enemy.
Think so that you have a car, it is the product of technology, its use for you is massive, and mainly
in unbearable climatic condition you can always create your own environment inside your car. This
is the friendship between you and the technology. But, in the same case, if you devote your whole
life then unknowingly you will be directed towards depression. As you are out of contact with your
life, you will feel so, but the love towards technology will not disappear and even when you love
technology it will be the enemy living inside you, destroying slowly and easily every colors of your
life. This is just a simple example about the variation of technology upon different minds at same
time.
In the eastern culture, they use technology which is only necessary for them and always maintain
their space of life, love, colors and most importantly the spiritual activities. In this type of life style
where you care about your life, happiness, relatives, love, enjoyment and spirituality, which is not
related to money at all, gives you the satisfaction within even with limited use of technology.
Technology covers less space in their life compared to spirituality. On the other hand, the western
culture contrasts with these values. Technology covers almost every part of their life; it is simply
proven by the fact of development of materialistic things in west. There are big cities, many
technologies and also money is directly proportional to technology. There are such things which the
people of east have not seen in terms of technology, whereas in west, the people have not seen
many things in terms of love, hospitality and spirituality. Here, the origin of mind differs with the
term technology as a friend or enemy. But speaking the truth technology is not an enemy at all nor
is it a friend at all. Technology connects lovers living in South Pole and North Pole, it can also
make them meet in one place in few hours but it can also destroy the world and kill those lovers in a
flash. So, using technology wisely makes it your friend and using technology madly makes it your
enemy.
Lastly, technology cannot be defined or explained easily or poetically. The more deep you go the
more puzzle you will face and more the puzzle, then more the questions, more the questions then
more the quest, more the quest then more the answers, more the answers then more the debate, more
the debate then more the conclusions. These conclusions does not match up with every ones view
and this process will continue forever, as the human brain never stops, creating more explanation of
technology and creating more complication further and further. It completely depends upon you to
make technology a friend or an enemy. In my view, I prefer the perfect friendship with technology
having limitation in my own space.
