Three things make my generation different from any other. These are:
1. We are the computer generation
2. We have grown up with the threat of global terrorism
3. We communicate through electronic means
First, we are adept at working complex issues through electronic means. In high school we are
the first generation to utilize computer programming in our day to day assignments to include
presentations and projects. We are adept in working complex issues through use of the
computer. Most people in my generation are quite adept at using complex computing programs.
Next, my generation has grown up facing the threat of global terrorism. Man of my class mates
have graduated, joined the military and gone to serve in either Iraq or Afghanistan. We have
grown up facing intense screening at airports, bag searches in public places and overall
increased security and awareness.
Finally, my generation communicates electronically. We text, use social media sites and even
do job searches and dating through use of the internet. We communicate through electrons.
In summary, I have shown how my generation is different from any other. We are
technologically savvy and have grown to use electronic means in daily task accomplishment.
Also, we have grown up facing the threat of global terrorism and we have answered the call to
serve our country to combat this threat.
My generation builds on the foundation laid by those who preceded us. We are build with
technology with a strong sense of patriotism.
