MACY’S TO “GO RED” FOR NINTH THE YEAR!
A special Wear Red Sale shopping event kicks off the campaign that includes
exclusive red dress designs and a Valentine’s Day social media campaign,
all to fashionably raise funds for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement

NEW YORK – January 23, 2012 – Macy’s continues to show its love for the American Heart Association’s Go
Red For Women movement and will commemorate American Heart Month with the annual Wear Red Sale, a
collection of exclusive red dresses designed to benefit the cause, red-inspired in-store events, and a heartfelt
social media campaign. As a founding national sponsor of the movement, Macy’s has raised more than $28
million for Go Red in the fight against heart disease. Building on the success of last year’s “Go Red Dress” by
I·N·C International Concepts, American Heart Month in 2012 will prove to be more fashionable than ever with
the addition of exclusive red dresses from Alfani, Charter Club and I·N·C. The red dresses will be available in
select stores and at macys.com in time to celebrate National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.

Wear Red Sale
In honor of American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day, customers wearing anything red – from an
entire ensemble; to lipstick; to the signature Red Dress pin, will receive a special 20 percent or 10 percent
discount on a wide assortment of merchandise at Macy’s stores nationwide, as part of the Wear Red Sale.
However, even without wearing red, customers who still want to support Go Red For Women, as well as receive
the special discount, can purchase the official Go Red For Women red dress lapel pin for $2 at any Macy’s
store. All pin sales will directly benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. The
Wear Red Sale begins Wednesday, Feb. 1 thru Sunday, Feb. 5. Additional merchandise exclusions apply.

Red Dresses at Macy’s
Macy’s introduces three new red dress silhouettes, designed and produced exclusively by I·N·C International
Concepts, Alfani and Charter Club, each available only at select Macy’s stores and on macys.com. The red
dresses will retail from $69.50 to $89, with 10 percent of the purchase price of each dress sold between Jan. 29
and Feb. 25 donated to the American Heart Association. Macy’s makes it easy to dress for the cause and
demonstrate heartfelt support for Go Red For Women!
