SEVENLY— imagine if you will a grand musical spoof in which the great promised
Millennium has already arrived... As our musical satire begins, the great angels in
heaven are dragging Satan away to his promised one thousand year confinement.
With this accomplished, the Seven Deadly Sins hold an urgent meeting in what’s left
of the old Garden of Eden. These dim witted souls are under the impression that one
of they must now take over ―evil‖ in the world. Where did they get that idea? So they
decide to hold a contest which will determine which of them is the ―deadliest‖ sin of
all. Who of them will be the new Satan?
At the same time, the Seven Cardinal Virtues hold an urgent meeting of their own –
these virtues need to stop all of this ―deadly squad‖ from re-entering the now
peaceful world. They need a diversion carefully planned: for a discovery is made
that both the Virtues and the Vices were fictional characters declared real by a sixth
century papal declaration of ―infallibility‖ by the pope. This discovery allows a lot of
things, but creates a lot of other problems.
That diversion comes with the creation of a fictional ―Twilight Zone‖ type town with a
little help from heaven and the spirit of Rod Serling, himself they entice the
―Deadlies‖ to buy up their bogusly created real estate and ―convert the good to evil in
good old ―Temptation, Ohio‖. Here the Deadly Sins can do their worst with souls that
have already been judged: all from Purgatory—who have nothing to lose anyway.
2
3
And so the angels including Gabriel and Archangel Michael and all of the Virtues take
roles in the ―new city‖ to completely fool The Deadly Sins. Pride puts on the first show
and dazzles everyone around. His performance could be a slam dunk.
But because fiction and reality have now crossed each others lines Satan is now able
to escape his millennium confinement and he proceeds to ―Temptation‖ to undo the
Deadly quest. What complicates matters further is the unexpected romance of the
virtue of courage with the mistress of Sloth. Now the other Deadly sins all want to
give up their goals and let Pride be in charge of everything evil right there and then.
The angels and the Virtues need to keep Satan from walking away again and they
convince him that he can play the spiritual ―Michael Eisner‖ and build an evil theme
park called Deadlyland‖. Will that keep him busy enough not to re-enter the world?
The satire in both story and great songs provides a wonderful evening of
entertainment.
THE RUNAWAY HEART—From the headlines comes the inspiration from the
latest musical from Creative Horizons. Jenny Lane lives in a very small town by the
name of WANNABEE GEORGIA. In her home town, Jenny has become a bit of a folk
hero: after all how many small town ingénues plan five weddings and for various
reasons runs away from each of them.
Besides plain old ―cold feet‖ Jenny blames ―bad timing‖ ―bad karma‖ and of course
―unkind fate‖ The good people of WANNABEE up to now has laughed at her little
masquerades and attended all of her weddings—after all small towns don’t provide
much free entertainment with a banquet fit for kings.
3
4
But this time around, Jenny stages her own kidnapping and involves the rescue
squad, the local red necked police and a lot of innocent folk who rent two search
helicopters at great expense. Now ―the girl who cried wolf‖ has gotten the people of
WANNABEE up in arms! And this time around she has attracted the attention of
PROFESSOR TIME and PROFESSOR FATE who feel that both they and marriage are
getting a very bad rap here.
So they compel young Jenny to take a time journey trip with them to face each of the
men she has left behind. Fate and Time declare that if she refuses their offer to
amend they must move her to a nowhere place in time unless she faces each of
them and apologizes. Jenny reluctantly agrees and discovers one by one that her
former bridegrooms’ lives are in shambles: one has become a ―Cinderfella monk‖.
One is in the nut house. Still another has landed in prison for a crime he has not
committed. And there is also Michael who loves her the most and refuses to abandon
her. She must choose one or be lost forever: somewhere she can not hurt any one
else. Jenny agrees and finds out a valuable lesson about love and personal
commitment.
THE GHOST WHO SAVED BROADWAY-- The greatest vaudevillian star of all
finds he is not good enough to go to heaven and not bad enough to go to hell. He is
rescued by none other than Saint Genesius, the patron saint of all entertainers.
He has a second chance (a brief twenty years) to help the three lives on Earth he
glossed over in his busy life on Earth. If he succeeds he becomes an angel in the
league of Saint Genesius. If he fails, he’ll be dumped in the deepest dungeon of
Section 86 in hell! Parker is sent crashing to Earth just as a séance to contact him is
being held. The will that he left for this theatre that he owned can not be found. The
Majestic Theatre is in deep trouble.
The first of the neglected souls O’Day must help is his life long partner in show
business: Madeline (―Sunny‖) who has always loved him. Together they were the
4
5
amazingly wonderful legendary show business act ―known as SUNNY O’DAY‖. He
always loved her in return but could never say those ―three little words.‖
The second life to be changed is his show business hating son who tries to shut down
Broadway theatre and convert all of the Great White Way to a Las Vegas East. And
the third is his grandson Joey for whom he never made time for and has inherited all
of his grandfather’s talents.
So O’ Day lands on Earth and enlists the aids of the ―Majestic Spirits‖—the grand
ghosts of show business who all haunt the legendary Majestic Theatre in New York.
He auditions their help with a performance plea unequalled in show business. Now
the head strong vaudevillian thinks he can do things his way.
That little delusion is shattered when he discovers that heaven has assigned him a
female guardian angel. ―The Old Smoothie‖ rebels and kicks her out of his life.
Nineteen and a half years pass oh so quickly and poor O’ Day has not helped any of
the three lives in question. Instead he has used the great fortune that he has hidden
in the walls of the Majestic Theatre to make her a classic theatre and to give any new
show business Wannabee a chance. So now he has six months left. Reluctantly, he
decides he needs that guardian angel and all of her rules.
But O’Day is more stubborn than he knows. And when he calls on the powers of
magic with the authority of heaven, Genesius strikes back and O’ Day faces and sees
Section 86 before him. He calls upon God for forgiveness and for ―One Last Miracle‖
Will Parker O’ Day earn his angel’s wings? Here a great original story and a great
musical score soar as it tells the story of a real ―Broadway angel‖
THE TRAVELING COMPANION
Hans Christian Andersen is one of the grandest story tellers of all time! Here is a new
musical adaptation of one of his best stories of all. A young teenager is taught that a
single act of kindness can literally change a life. Young John Van Arsdale lives in
summer’s Hollow in Denmark in 1835. His father is dying and his world is being
turned upside down.
5
6
At the same time, a young princess and her true love are trying to escape an evil
warlock from controlling both their lives and destiny. A good doctor tries to protect
them both. When that doctor is killed in his valiant effort to do so, the Prince and
Princess race to Summer’s Hollow and find John’s world with the warlock in hot
pursuit.
John loves the princess at first sight but knows he can never win her heart. So John
prepares to leave to make his own way in the world. The prince and the princess lose
their battle to the warlock. On his own journey, John saves the corpse of a man from
villains with thoughts of revenge. That man is the same good doctor who risked his
life for the royal couple. The spirit of that man becomes the young Dane’s ―traveling
companion‖ and guardian angel.
When the princess realizes that her prince’s love was only selfish and superficial, she
turns to a life of witchcraft and evil as the evil partner of the warlock who wishes to
be king of the princess’ kingdom. Suitors of her hand are lured into an impossible
guessing game whose fatal penalty will eliminate all competition for her heart.
John sees her again in his travels and determines to win her hand no matter what
the price might be. His angelic ―Traveling Companion‖ makes this impossible quest a
plausible possibility. With the companion’s help, John wins the hand of the princess,
defeats the warlock and breaks the evil spell that he has imposed upon her
kingdom Magic, love, loyalty and friendship abound here. The boy finds adventure,
integrity, true love and a kingdom to rule. Features a delightful song score.
Completely orchestrated tape is available for this production.
A MOMENT WITH MISTER “C”-- Martha Willingston is a world famous
author of children’s Christmas stories known as Mrs. Kringle. She has been writing
wonderful stories about Santa Claus for over twenty-five years. But now, she has
decided to retire and she goes to live in a small country town in Connecticut that
despite its size is still far too commercial for its own good. Her early arrival there
finds Christmas in high gear well before Thanksgiving.
6
7
When she finally gets to her country home, she discovers almost everything going
wrong including the news that her children will not be coming for Christmas as they
promised. The first to spread bad news is her ex-husband and former agent who
shows up at her door begging her for money and urging her not to retire.
Bad goes to worse as her television goes out and she enlists the aid of Newman the
repairman who has a secret identity: he’s the vicar of the church forced to repair
televisions to make ends meet. These two begin a friendship that is truly wonderful.
Newman has an ally with Barney Michaels, Martha’s next door neighbor who’s more
opinionated than he should be.
Interrupting it all is the arrival of Martha’s best friend in the world: Clementine Clifton:
a no holds barred, say-what-you think, hater of Christmas who has just had this all
confirmed with what she says is her last visit to her family at the holiday.
Martha doubts Christmas herself before long and gets a visit from ―Mister ―C‖ a
Santa Claus a little different than you might remember. He is there to try and
convince ―Mrs. Kringle‖ that Christmas, the world and he needs her continued story
telling more than ever. He has a secret that might shock us all.
A very lonely Martha and an equally lonely Mister ―C’ enjoy an evening together while
Barney and Clemmie fall for each other fast. But when no one will believe Martha’s
story, ―Mister ―C‖ returns long enough to bring Christmas back to the hearts of
Reverend Newman, Barney Michaels, and Clemmie Clifton and of course, Martha
herself.
Martha determines to write again. Barney proposes to Clemmie. And Martha gets a
surprise visit from the family she never expected to see together again. Christmas
here may never be the same.
THE INVITATION
In December of 1899, in a country like England in a small village, a hobo who was
once a great general is now a homeless vagabond. Shamed by an act of courage that
went wrong, Robert Cromwell Carter has but one friend in all the world: an invisible
cat:: a pooka perhaps named Sylvester who keeps him on the straight and narrow
7
8
and acts as his conscience. The magic feline was a gift to carter five years prior from
Elder, the Spirit of Christmas, himself.
And now that the 19th century is about to pas to the next, Elder must choose a
replacement for himself and is training an ex mortal youth nicknamed ―Jingle‖. He
brings the young ex-mortal youth to the village with a final challenge: find here who
most needs the spirit of Christmas, ―touch his life with love‖ and help that person
change his or her life.
Is it Mrs.Willowswood? She’s the town’s trouble maker. Is it the young altar boy
Jimmy who is simply too impatient for his own good? Maybe it’s Sammy Simon a bum
who once served in carter’s brigade: now poor, bitter and angry at the world.
Jingle chooses Carter, but the poor vagabond is no easy challenge. He has been
disgraced, laughed at and is now despised by the poor pathetic people who live in
this village, most of whom have ―no time for Christmas‖. Jingle will take on many
forms and appearances to the poor old Vagabond carter.
A frustrated parish priest by the name of Monsignor Brennan has many run ins with
Carter, even chasing him from the church for falling asleep in ―the Blessed Virgin’s
arms‖ Carter is a good man who simply is trying to survive and keep as much of his
dignity as he can possibly muster. He has prepared a small elegant gift to present to
the Child Jesus in the church’s Christmas Manger display.
Jingle decides that Robert Carter needs ―the spirit of Christmas‖ most and with
Elder’s help he fashions an ―invitation‖ for Carter to be invited to christening of the
son of the new queen of the country. This makes Robert feel important again.
But that importance is soon fed by pride and suddenly Robert Cromwell Carter
becomes a different person. Has Jingle failed? And what will happen if that
―invitation‖ is made to be one day too late by Jingle’s efforts to fix things up.
Complications ensue when Sammy Simon confronts his old commander and the
truth of that long ago Christmas Eve is revealed. Carter had only tried to make peace
on Christmas Day. The tragedy that followed ruined a career and a life but also
involved the error of the elder who changed free will for the cause of peace.
Jingle rebels and wants to be a mortal once more. Elder must convince him that he
did no wrong. Carter must realize that his own importance does not require fame,
fortune or material things.

ONE BIG HAPPY
FAMILY
In the glorious ―Roaring 20’s‖ lives the Gilbreth Family in Montclair, New Jersey.
Mom, Dad, and twelve kids. Here is the musical story of the family that were the
―time saving‖ specialists: the man who saved the Remington typewriter company
from bankruptcy and gave Lever Brothers their manufacturing know how and the wife
and mother who invented the push buttons on the washing machine.
Together they raised twelve children teaching them an education about nature, time,
math and vocabulary that they would use all of their lives. Dad is a no-nonsense, in
your face, efficiency expert who expects discipline but gives love in ways few parents
would or could ever do. Here you will meet the laziest handy man on the face of the
earth, a grandmother with a zing to her step, and a model T with a personality all of
its own and the Roaring Twenties depicted in a loving and wonderful musical tribute.
The family that gave us the phrase ―Cheaper by the Dozen are depicted here as they
really were from memoirs by two of the Gilbreth children themselves. You will tap
your feet and sing along with ―Double Digit Multiplication‖, ―Double Bubble and
Scrub‖ and the title song ―One Big Happy Family‖ Twenty-three skidoo and the ―Tiger
Rag‖ never sounded more wonderful. Co-written by Michael Ricciardi and the award
winning composer J. Eric Schmidt...
YOUNG MCDONALD
9
10
Here is the musical story of two Hollywood talent agents: one is still in business:
hanging by a thread and the other was ―given the business‖ by the other agent. Hazel
has gone to live on an Iowa farm with former child star Mikey McDonald—helping him
to raise his young son: keeping a promise that she made to Mikey’s grandmother.
Now in Hollywood, where ―everything old can be new again’ comes the call from an
important producer for a sitcom with a star who looks just like ―Mikey McDonald‖ did
in those classic old commercials that he made and a dead ringer kid who can play
his young son. And Mikey McDonald is raising that very well needed dead ringer kid
Funny thing, way back when, Gilda Morgenstern used to represent the original hot
little actor, but this was all before puberty and pimples left their mark on him.
Knowing that she is out of business unless she can make a deal fast, she calls Mikey
in Iowa and manages to convince her underpaid and overworked office manager,
Tony to accompany her to Stringfellow, Iowa: a god-forsaken one horse town with a
few farms.
The greedy old Gilda turns on the charm and pours out the bull hiring a helicopter
and a pair of super zoom binoculars trying to get Mikey signed as a client, but she is
in for a few surprises.
First, she has no idea that her former nemesis is living on this same farm, and
second she has no idea that Hazel will be representing both father and son even if a
deal can be worked out. Gilda and Hazel’s first confrontation in fifteen years is
comedy at its finest.
And after this great meeting of the minds, begins Gilda’s sneaky steal away of
affections as she tries to tarnish Hazel’[s character anew first by trying to fool the lazy
farmhand Jake into thinking he could be in the movies and second by taking Mikey’s
young son to Chicago on a whirlwind tour to buy his new star wardrobe.
A grand and glorious fight ensues, and the young son of Mikey McDonald now feels
all of this is his fault. He returns all of the newly bought wardrobe and takes refuge in
a tall apple tree refusing to come down.
Now it is time for the young former actor to perform as something far more
important: a father. Gilda and Tony are banished to the barn as a plot of grand
revenge by Hazel unfolds. Using the classic old Mark Twain ghost story ―The Golden
Arm‖ Gilda is frightened out of her mind and saved by McDonald’s young son, coming
down from his tree perch.
The agents reconcile when Gilda learns her lesson and apologizes to Hazel for all the
sneaky things she has ever done. They then learn that the sit-com plot has changed
and the producers need a real farm to film on. Hazel volunteers the farm to entice
the producers and the director of the sit com turns out to be Mikey’s old co-star in
those famous commercials. She’s all grown up and very beautiful. When the original
10
11
spoiled brat cast in the show is replaced, young McDonald’s son takes up the role
and ―Young McDonald‖ falls in love with his old co-star.
Although the series gets cancelled before an episode is finished, a love affair has
begun and Hazel and Gilda have become friends once again: vowing to come back
to9 Hollywood and re-build their once legendary talent offices together. Hollywood is
a magic place and sometimes its magic reaches all the way to Iowa.
THE RETURN OF THE WIZARD OF OZ
Based on two other classic novels by L. Frank Baum, we re-visit Dorothy in Kansas
and learn in a wonderful musical story that Dorothy is going on a trip to visit her
cousin Zebediah in California.
All of this of course is simply a way to get Dorothy away from big trouble. Uncle Henry
and Auntie Em will soon lose their weathered farm to the bank who has given them
their last chance to pay the very overdue mortgage. The Kansas aunt and uncle
11
12
realize that they are stuck between ―Nothing and Nowhere‖ have no solutions in
store and they need to find a new home for Dorothy and Toto.
Fortunately, Dorothy has kept up her friendship in Oz after befriending the new ruler
of the Emerald City, Princess Ozma who has given the child a ―magic glass’ that will
always show her that faraway place ―over the rainbow‖.
Dorothy and Zebediah meet and Dorothy tries to tell her very unbelieving cousin all
about the magic Land of Oz He maintains that reality is the only important thing in life
and that ―You’ve Gotta Believe What You See‖ While she is doing so, a giant
earthquake strikes and Dorothy is transported back to Oz.
The Man of Stars is leader of an underground movement and a kingdom that has
banned all children and is a great rival his arch-enemy The Nome King and is now
demanding information from Dorothy. The Nome King wishes to take over all of Oz:
wanting all the emeralds in the great city and to enslave all of its many kingdoms
Dorothy and Zebediah are prisoners of the Man of Stars and learn that the Wizard of
Oz himself has returned and is a prisoner, himself. Ozma rescues Dorothy, Zebediah
and the wizard and brings them back to Emerald City for safety.
Once there, Dorothy learns more of the Nome King’s plot and the plight of her aunt
and uncle and Princess Ozma offers to bring them both to Oz to live. Auntie Em and
Uncle Henry meet the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodsman and the Lion. The lion and
Auntie Em form a special bond and friendship in a song called ―They Don’t Have
Lions in Kansas‖
After a great celebration Ozma directs that Dorothy travel with Zebediah , the wizard
and her aunt and uncle as her ambassadors throughout Oz to convince the people
that she has the crisis situation in good hands and to gain alliances from Oz’s many
kings and kingdoms.
Here they meet the Wozzlebug, the citizens of Chimneyville, and the King of
Bunnyburry. A plan is devised to defeat the Nome King with the help of their new
alliances by tricking him into a giant fountain of youth, ending his threats for a long
time to come. The wizard learns his lesson in humility once again and Oz and the
Emerald City are saved from the evil Nome King. Zebediah learns a lesson in faith
and returns to California and all the rest enjoy a brand new life in the land of the
Yellow Brick Road.
And in Development…… And in active

LUCRICIA-- a musical historical fantasy. Lucricia Borgia was the
illegitimate daughter of a reigning pope. Her legend has been the
subject of great literature and great stories. But what if the murders she
committed were simply an act of revenge? This new musical will
explore this possibility against a background a real persons and events.
CURTAIN UP-- A pair of brother writers—siblings always in rivalry
are given the opportunity of a lifetime. A Broadway show has had its
rights revoked suddenly—but the theatre in which it was to be
performed has had its rent paid for a year by a bequest from their
mutual grandfather: providing they can finally write a show together
after all of these years. Can they write a book and musical score in a
week?
THE WILD SWANS-- Another wonderful story from the pen of Hans
Christian Andersen. In a majestic kingdom, a good and adored queen
and mother of six sons and a daughter dies after a long illness. Her
husband and the King is sad at her passing, but has always felt well less
adored and loved than she by the people here. While remaining faithful,
13
14
he has courted the affections of another king’s daughter: a great
sorcerer in her own right.
The king will marry this woman and make her his new queen only a
scant month after the demise of his wife. The wicked queen has played
her affections well and hidden her ambitions even more. For she plans
to rule the kingdom and she also plans to rid herself of the king’s
children by transforming them into Wild Swans. The children’s only
friend and defender is Sir Mallory who is never fooled by this woman.
With a devious plan, the queen plans a swimming contest and turns all
the boys into beautiful swans. Little Eliza escapes. Her mission as she
grows is to rescue her brothers from the curse her wicked step mother
has imposed.
Here is a story of family, friendship and loyalty at the price of incredible
sacrifice. A majestic musical score makes this musical a delight to both
eye and ear!
"BROADWAY ANGELS" is an uproarious musical comedy
about a group of Dominican nuns who face eviction from
their rustic Vermont convent by the Catholic archdiocese
which is run by a money grubbing Cardinal named
MONOHAN.
The nuns have been praying night and day to Saint Michael,
the Archangel to be spared this dire emergency and sudden
14
15
panic. At this point Angel Michael comes to the nun's rescue
and we discover with him that God wants the nuns to be
rewarded in a most unique way: with hundreds of winning
lottery tickets that fall "manna-like" at God's direction from
the Vermont sky.
This little miracle is all in answer to the nun's constant
prayers for help. But there's a plan for these nuns as well.
With the money received, the nuns are to buy out a failing
Broadway theatre and live in the dressing rooms, leaving the
stage to serve as the most elaborate private chapel in the
world.
All looks well until GABRIEL the archangel arrives as a
spoilsport. After all of these years watching God work "close
up," he just can't believe that God is doing something so
"show business" and he doubts the odd plan and gets
Michael to doubt it too.
Just as it is not good to "fool Mother Nature," it is also not a
good idea for two archangels to doubt old Yahweh. Their
punishment? Both archangels are turned into mortals by God
15
16
,and now GABRIEL and MICHAEL must somehow convince
these nuns that this incredible story is real and equally
somehow do all the legwork of this incredible task without
angel powers.
The Archangels realize that as long as they are mortals they
might as well act like them until God comes to his senses and
turns them back into angels. It turns out that God's decision
to mortalize the angels was the result of a JOB-like bet that
the DEVIL has made with Him.
Of course Gabriel and Michael are pitifully unaware of this
little development. When the angels finally succeed in
getting the nuns into the theatre, the jealous Satan decides
to stir up a little trouble and gets city inspectors to evict the
nuns once more.
The city is persuaded to think that the GEORGE M. COHAN
THEATRE is a national landmark because supposedly
GEORGE M. took his last breath there.
So now the nuns face eviction again unless they put on a
Broadway show. After all, that's what the great GEORGE M
would expect and want from a theatre bearing his name. So
now the question becomes. what do formerly cloistered
Dominican nuns know about putting on a show?
MICHAEL and GABRIEL find out about the bet and demand
their wings back. God agrees, and now the angels get into
high gear getting angels from Heaven into a Broadway show
that George M. Cohan gives them from his heavenly cloud.
Imagine that! A lost Cohan musical with angels in the cast.
The devil reacts by seducing the great critics of Broadway to
universally pan the show-- even leaving little cash surprises
where the critics least expect them. However, the show is so
16
17
charming, so magical, and so wonderful that none of these
critics can say one negative thing about it.
The devil is so angry he stomps off to Hell and promises
extra coal shoveling to Broadway stars and critics who are
now eternal residents there.
The "Broadway Angels" put on the best and most sold out
show in Broadway history. Will God let the show go on
forever-- longer than Lloyd Webber? The answer may just
astound you!
A LITTLE BIT of
BROADWAY
At the turn of the last century (1999)
the last of the great Tin Pin Alley songwriters, Mr. Chester Moore finally
has the opportunity to write a new song for inclusion in a Broadway book
musical when the song originally written for said show is pulled due to
creative and legal differences.
17
18
The song makes the show an ultimate hit and Moore changes his will that
will make possible for the financing of a new Broadway show Revue
featuring all of the songwriter’s many classics. It will also allow the
performers, who brought the song to life to produce, control and make a
profit for themselves and the arts.
As the artists are invited by letter to attend a special audition, they begin to
suspect the unusual circumstances in which they are recruited. Once at the
audition, it is revealed to them that this no audition at all. These performers
have been singled out by name in the Chester Moore will. After much
discussion and doubt, they begin to accept the challenge of going through
the hundreds of songs that Moore has written and they begin to compose a
libretto that chronicles the great composer-lyricist’s life.
As they do, they become (in dramatization) the many characters of the
songwriter’s life including Irving Berlin and Al Sherman. One actress in the
group was actually married to Chester Moore. As their research continues,
the performers become more and more enthused and an opening of the show
is announced in the trades. Now complications arise as Moore’s original
heirs begin to challenge the merits of the new legal document. What do
these young upstarts know about the classic songs of the Tin Pan Alley era?
Why do they deserve the performance royalties over family?
The struggle to keep the production going and the love of the material
fostered by these performers is the basis of our story. Legal challenges are
defeated and the show opens to amazing and mind blowing reviews. The
music and lyrics of Chester Moore are re-discovered with great joy to
modern theatre goers and music lovers everywhere.

In the year of 1900, One of the last true monarchies on Earth—a
kingdom with a paradox: A musical paradox at that! For while it is
true that this kingdom depends entirely upon its king, the king has no
say in the running or ruling of this kingdom. His ministers are more
powerful than he. The leaders of the kingdom’s church are not only able
to run the church, but engage formally in this kingdom’s great battles
and wars with outside opponents.
19
20
The real power behind the throne is never behind it. The queen is
always in front of it usually blocking both the view and perspective of
the old king himself. Wars in the kingdom are no longer an event. They
are an every day occurrence. Time seems to have stopped in this
kingdom. Every one here is bored with their lives here except the poor
old king. He is very happy just being himself. He doesn’t thirst for
power. He knows of his limitations and simply accepts them. “Leave
well enough alone” is the poor monarch’s credo. The citizens here want
a big change and so does the bombastic queen and the last person to
know of this is the poor old king.
Our story begins the morning the queen falls from her bed and decides
to get even with the first person she sees; that poor person unfortunately
is the king. What begins as an attack on his character transcends into a
demand for his trial. Since the queen feels that the king is no longer
necessary why not a trial to determine just that have. The musical trial
is filled with many accusations and no real facts. The king is declared
guilty and or5dered to be pushed off the edge of the world. And so he
is: pushed off the edge of the world.
There is a great festival and the great “pushover of the king” is
celebrated. He begs them all to re-consider, but they are determined to
have something different happen in a kingdom that has always been the
same for decades. Over the king goes and finds himself found by a
lonely little girl who adopts him and treats him like a true king
Unfortunately, the kingdom of Chessom has come to a complete stand
still. For the kingdom of Chessom is only a chess board. And a chess
board without its king is simply a most useless piece of property. The
king is placed in a palace that has been built by the little girl’s father
and contains a queen from another chess set who was also pushed over
the edge of the world by a jealous knight from yet another chess set.
The king and queen have a now match in heaven and look for other
homeless chess characters—that also have been thrown off the edge of
the world by jealous players or disgruntled chess players. When they
have a true family, they intend to cherish each as an important member
of the family!

Who was the great saint who’s name we have made immortal? Some say
they were several saintly men whose lives were pegged to name this
great holiday after. For our purposes, we have selected a third century
saintly man whose greatest antagonist was the Emperor of Rome:
Claudius II. Valentine is thrown into prison for conducting secret
marriages for Christians in a land where such a ceremony is
prohibited. The end for the saintly man arrives when he tries to convert
the great emperor to Christianity on a per chance visit in prison from
the crowned giant. Did Valentine have a secret love of his own? Could
that love have been one that the Emperor, himself shared? In this
musical drama, we discover much about each man:

The most eligible bachelor in the United States becomes quite suddenly,
the first Jewish president of the United States—and his Brooklyn
Mother moves into the White House, lock, stock and bagel and takes
Washington by storm! This is the story of the most patriotic woman in
history—she thinks she beats Dolley Madison and Barbara Fritchie
combined and her son, the president. Her musical story will have you
saluting the flag and singing patriotic tunes!
