Aneta Samarańska and Krystian Seweryn invite the Polish community to participate in the run.

Dear members and friends of the PAS,

We wish to inform you of the upcoming charity run sponsored by the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Participants will have three distances to choose from: marathon, half-marathon, and a 5-kilometer run.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is organizing this year’s run with the goal of raising funds to help seriously
ill children. The hospital is one of the most well-known in the world specializing in treating children afflicted with
cancer and is famous for never sending away a child that has crossed the hospital’s threshold without helping
them. Beyond the clinic, St. Jude leads in research for better methods of diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

We wish to encourage all of you to participate in this run not just to show our support for this excellent
organization, but also publicize the presence of the Polish community in Memphis.

As everybody knows, we have in our group a large number of athletes, who can take advantage of the chance to
run with athletes from all over the world. We encourage amateur runners as well as Sunday walkers who don’t
have aspirations to run the marathon to enter the 5 kilometer event, not just to help the treatment of children at St.
Jude, but also for our own health. The atmosphere at the event is very pleasant, stimulating, and inspirational.

       We invite you to participate!

The run will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Information on the run and costs can be found on the web
page This web site also has a page where you can sign up for the run.

We plan to get our Polish group together before the start of the event. Questions about the organization of the
run, the gathering place for the Polish group or any other details can be directed to Aneta Samarańska, ph. (773)
       744-1214 or Krystian Seweryn ph. (901) 644-9194.
