Survey Questionnaire
Because assessing the needs of busy professionals is important and complex, we have edited this
survey to gather the necessary information that makes your effort to complete it useful and
targeted toward defining a solution.
How Do You Design A Landscape
Our main objective in asking you to fill out this questionnaire is to determine what methods
you use to develop a landscape design plan for a client. We are especially interested in how you
communicate your plan graphically, and most importantly, how you present your plan and
rationale to the client. The information you provide will directly affect the instruction and
hands-on practices during the workshop.

Do you specialize in any particular area, for example, historic landscapes, environmentally
friendly design, residential, commercial, pools, for example? Please be specific when describing
a particular focus or expertise you offer your clients.
How do you evaluate if one of your design jobs is successful?

Please describe how you develop a design plan. List some of the key steps you follow and
briefly describe their function and usefulness to you. Feel free to draw this out, with a flow
chart or sketches too, if that might help us better understand. Amount of space provided is not an
