What is the Unified Carrier Registration Plan and Agreement?
The Unified Carried Registration (UCR) Plan and Agreement are part of a Federally-mandated, State-administered program that went into effect September 10, 2007. Under
this program, States collect fees from motor carriers, motor private carriers, freight forwarders, brokers and leasing companies, based on the number of qualifying commercial
motor vehicles (CMVs) in their fleets.

This Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Michigan Public Service Commission
Walk-in service will be provided during the following hours: on policy and procedural matters which impact the Michigan trucking industry. The

INSURANCE
A protest, to an application other than a temporary application, shall be filed with the Com-
mission within twenty (20) calendar days of the publication of the application. A protest to tem-
porary authority shall be filed within ten (10) calendar days of the publication of the application.
A submitted protest shall include a certificate of service verifying the date the protest was
mailed by first class mail or served in person upon the applicant or the applicant’s representative.
Failure to file a protest in a timely manner waives participation in the proceeding.
