Criteria:    Senior who is conscientious, shows a positive attitude and
participates in school activities
       Student should be planning to pursue a career involving children

* Amy’s Run Scholarship sponsored by the YMCA
Criteria:    Senior who participated in the annual Amy’s Run/Walk in
      Student should demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude toward

The Far West Council of School Superintendents Scholarship (FWCOSS)
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade
point average of 85%. Applicants will then be evaluated on the basis of service, leadership,
work ethic and character. All applications, along with a minimum of two letters of
recommendation, must be submitted by Friday, January 28, 2011 to:

The scholarship winners and their parents/guardians will be required to attend the annual
Chautauqua County School Boards Association (CCSBA) Honors Night which is being held on
Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Clarion Hotel in Dunkirk. The winners’ and their families’
dinners will be paid for by the FWCOSS Scholarship Fund.

Burger King Scholars Program
All high school seniors with a GPA of 2.5 who plan to attend a 2 year or 4
             year college or a technical school can apply.

Ned Carter Scholarship

Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year Award
25 national winners will each receive a $7.500 college scholarship
Judging based on five criteria: academic performance, athletic excellence,

National Co-op Scholarship Program
College Cooperative Education is a unique academic program combining
classroom studies with professional work experience in a field related to
your education and career goals.
To qualify for this scholarship, students must:
         Have a GPA of 3.5 or better
         Complete all the required admissions applications material and be
          accepted for the 2011-2012 academic year at one of the National
          Commission Partner Institutions
The Partner Institutions are: Drexel University, Johnson & Wales
University, Kettering University, Rochester Institute of Technology,
University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, and Wentworth Institute of

 “Space Camp”
Criteria:   Must have at least a “B” average in math and science, have and

Service/First General Scholarship Programs
The Service Scholars Program recognizes and rewards high school seniors
who demonstrate an ongoing interest in servicing the needs of otherthrough
             a commitment to community service.
The First Generation Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial
and academic assistance to High School student who exhibit a high degree
of motivation and academic potential and whose parents did not attend a

Washington Crossing Foundation
This scholarship a student who is planning a career in government or military
service, enjoys politics, and is a history buff. An essay is required.

Amy’s Run – Saturday, November 27, 2010
One senior who participates in the run/walk will receive the Amy’s Run
scholarship. You must participate in the run/walk to be considered for this
scholarship in the spring.
Registration forms for Amy’s Run are available in the counseling and career
office. The deadline is November 19th.
Coca-Cola Scholarships
If you are a truly motivated, dedicated, involved high school senior, the
Coca-cola Scholars Foundation awards 250 scholarships to students just like

AES Engineers Scholarship
