The nationally-acclaimed New York City Fire Department Boxing Team will face

off with New England Law Enforcement boxers once again in the fourth installment of

the popular amateur boxing series on May 19th, 2012 at the Fox Theater at Foxwoods

Resort and Casino. New England won the competition last year for the first time and has

a chance to even the series this time around.

A press conference to formally kick off the public relations effort to promote the

event will take place on February 10th, 2012 at the British Beer Company, 85 Providence

Highway in Walpole, Massachusetts. The conference will start at 7:00 PM EST and

feature a special tribute and 10 bell count for three New England boxing figures lost

recently: “Iron” Mike Puasteri, Pat Petronelli, Goody Petronelli and Tom McNeely. Local

hand to meet with, and snacks will be served.

“Battle of the Badges 4” will be held at the Fox Theater this year, 350 Trolley

Line Blvd., Ledyard, Connecticut. Pride will be on the line as New York City's Bravest

go toe to toe and glove to glove with New England Law Enforcement’s best in bout after

exciting bout. Every year since the first event, the atmosphere’s been family and fighter

friendly.

Battle of the Badges proceeds also go to worthy causes with this year’s

beneficiaries being Work Vessels For Veterans (www.wvfv.org) and the National Public

Safety Athletic League, which helps support needed funding for boxing programs around

the USA including the FDNY Boxing Team and MCOFU Boxing Team. Work Vessels

For Veterans assists veterans returning to the United States as they begin their civilian

careers or continue their educational pursuits. Donations toward helping veterans along

include laptops, vehicles, machinery, tools, and boats. The organization, founded in 2008,

contributed items to help more than 500 veterans already.

The attendance at the event is estimated to be around 1,600, and various

sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available for businesses to market

themselves in association with the card. The various levels of opportunities range from

major event sponsorships to advertisements in the official program. Major Event

Sponsors will receive invitations to the pre-event VIP party as well as VIP ringside

seating. Call Denis Marrese at 1-855-660-6606 or Tommy Brown at 617-710-4669 for
