Production and Post-Production Skills (Completion of EDCC courses VISCO 125, 210, 215 & 230)
 In preparation for the fulfillment of my degree, I completed the following tasks and training:
    o Learned all processes involved in standard photography: Camera parts and functions, exposure
        settings, grey and white balancing, and hand processing of film stock, including tinting and dodging
    o Studied the techniques required to create, correct, and modify digital images using Adobe Photoshop
        and Illustrator
    o Utilized Adobe Photoshop to process digital images for use by Anthropology Department
    o Scanned 35 mm slides into digital file format for archival purposes
 Coordinated all aspects involved in the creation of an original student film, including:
    o Script creation and story planning
    o Budget and location management
    o Cast and crew
    o Rehearsal and shooting schedules
    o Equipment reservations
    o Post-production, including editing, audio post production, and color correction as necessary
 Assisted in the planning and execution of location shoots for an independent instructional DVD series,
   including budget and pre-planning work, script writing, and camera operation
 Prepared video for streaming online broadcast using MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 (H264) codecs
 Created special video and title effects using Adobe After Effects
 Imported and modified audio files for inclusion in video projects using Peak

   Acquired first-hand knowledge and experience in television and video production process by:
    o Serving as camera crew while videotaping special lectures, guest speakers, instructional material and
        interview subjects for broadcast on college-maintained cable channel
    o Assisting director in set-up and placement of cameras, lighting instruments and wireless microphones
        and by testing all equipment prior to shoot commencing
    o Preparing and inserting title graphics utilizing Adobe Photoshop
    o Editing raw footage and preparing title graphics for ASL instructional DVD.
    o Importing all DV and Mini-DV footage into non-linear editing systems
    o Correcting audio levels for clarity during post production
    o Labeling and organizing all tapes prior to shoot
    o Operating four-camera control console during regional instructional conference
   Duplicated finished DVD’s of lectures and other programming using high-capacity duplication equipment
