     ICT Intervention in NHM
Mission Intervention
“ The Mission will be demand and need based in
   each segment. Technology will play an
   important role in different interventions.
   Technologies        such        as     Information
   Communication          Technology,         Remote
   Sensing and Geographic Information System
   will be widely used for planning and monitoring
   purposes including identification of sites for
   creating infrastructure facilities for post harvest
   management, markets and production forecasts”

• “The SHM will upload the AAP, as
  communicated to the National level EC
  indicating approval by SLEC, on the web
  site exclusively created for the purpose.
  The same will be replaced after its
  approval by National level. Attempts will
  be made to display the position regarding
  approvals of the AAP on line”

KEY STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

• To empower executives at various levels with online
  reviewing of progress made under different components
  of the scheme and assess its effectiveness

• To build databases on various aspects of horticulture
  thereby bridging the gap for evolving a DSS for various
  levels.

• To add value to the Supply Chains of prospective partners
  from private sector by sharing relevant databases with
  the underlying objective of uplifting the target
  beneficiaries

• To serve as an alert system for managerial
  intervention for  taking   appropriate remedial
  measures wherever required

• To serve as a platform for effective co-ordination
  and sharing of best practices among different

  implementing agencies, partners, beneficiaries,
  etc.)
