For Drs. Hustace and Carney this was a three-year and two-year program, respectively; and a one year program for Drs. Fryer, McCracken and Welch. The awards were presented by Dr. Helen Diggs, Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, with additional words of congratulations by Drs. John Schlipf and Jana Gordon. There was a reception in the atrium following the event. As each graduate received their hoods, Dr. Tornquist read their post graduation plans for their immediate future: Jaclyn Aschim will start working at Newberg Veterinary Hospital as a mixed animal practitioner. She plans to buy two horses as soon as possible. Brad Barnett will be taking a much needed vacation prior to getting married in September. Staci Brigham will be moving to California with her family to do a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Jessica Brubaker will be working in a mixed animal practice in Scio, Ore. Elizabeth Burns in going to Sea World for vacation with her daughter Maura and is still looking for a job. Katie Cambier will be taking part of the summer off to travel and relax, and will then work at a small animal clinic in the Portland area. Yi-Shan Chou will be a full-time associate in a private practice Value Pet Clinic in Puyallup, Wash. Megan Christie will spend the summer traveling through Europe before returning to Oregon to start her career. Tracy Connolly will be starting a job in Gilbert, Ariz. as a small animal clinician. Krista Cook will begin working at Companion Pet Clinic in McMinnville, Ore. on July 1. Christina Crouthers plans to work at a small animal practice in southern Washington. Vanessa Davis will be joining Linn Veterinary Hospital, a mixed animal practice in Albany, Ore. in July. Crystal Ebert plans to work as a small animal practitioner in the Portland area. Jamie Freyer will be starting work at a small animal practice in Portland in July. Daniel Graham has applied for long-term service with Christian Veterinary Mission and to a Masters of International Animal Health program at the University of Edinburgh. Kristin Halleck is getting married in September and will be moving to Portland to work at Banfield. Megan Halliburton will be moving to Montana to go fly fishing and start an internship at an equine clinic. Jaye Hartman will be moving to Vancouver, Wash. to work at a 24-hour veterinary hospital. Sharleen Henery will be working in a small animal hospital. Jennifer Jackson is moving to Reno to work at the Nevada Humane Society. Elizabeth James will be serving in the US Army Veterinary Corps at Fort Irwin, Colo. Kasey Joynt will be working in Silverton, Ore. at a mixed animal practice. Marcie Keener will be moving to Klamath Falls, Ore. to practice with Dr. Doug McInnis, a long-time mentor. Adrian Lass is moving to southern Oregon. Christopher Levine accepted a small animal internship at Oklahoma State University and plans to pursue a specialty in cardiology. Lisa Loennig-Tinker is getting married this month and moving to the Portland area. Rachel Luksic will be moving to the northeast. Jeanne Martin is getting married in July and moving to Portland. Jonathan Miller Sara Neilson will be starting a small animal internship at Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic in Loomis, Calif. Jaime Paeschke will be working at Blayney Veterinary Clinic, a mixed animal practice in Idaho. Heather Peters will be taking an Alaskan Cruise with her husband. Kristin Peterson will be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah to begin a large animal internship at South Valley Large Animal Clinic. Amy Poisel started her new job June 15. Daniel Richardson will be looking for work as a mixed animal practitioner in Nevada, Oregon, Idaho or Montana. Keelan Rogers is looking for a clinic where he and his wife, Annika, can both practice on predominantly large animals, hopefully in the western US. Erin Ryan will be moving to Denver, Colo. to begin a small animal internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. Kristen Simmons is moving to Stillwater, Okla. with her husband and fellow graduate, Dr. Chris Levine. Lauren Stayer will be a small animal intern at WestVet Emergency & Specialty Center in Boise, Idaho. Christie Stone plans on practicing in a small animal clinic in the EugeneSpringfield area. Jamie Sullivan will be taking the month of June off to rest, hike, camp, and job search. Amanda Taylor is moving to Prince Edward Island, Canada for a small animal internship at Atlantic Veterinary College. Janis Theophanes is taking a break while eagerly awaiting God's direction for her post-school life. Jessica Thompson is going to enjoy her summer and is looking for an associate position in the Pacific Northwest. Maegan Weekly will be taking time off to travel and do some backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail. Melissa Wood is going to Disneyland and then Kaui, Hawaii. Melinda Woolley is looking for a job at a small animal or mixed animal clinic in Oregon. Kristin Zedwick will be spending the summer travelling through Europe with her husband and job hunting later.
