Oregon 4-H Master Shooting Sports Leader Training

The Oregon 4-H Youth Development Education Program recognizes and supports these Shooting Sport discipline

tracks at this time: archery shotgun rifle hunting pistol hunting dog



The Master 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Training will provide leaders with information on:

1. Age appropriate equipment and activities

2. Risk management

3. Equipment storage requirements

4. Teaching skills for classroom and range



All equipment and materials for the workshop will be provided. Safety will be a primary concern. Leaders may

attend only ONE of the tracks at each 4-H Shooting Sports Master training weekend.



Logistics

Schedule- tentative:



Friday p.m. Check In

6:30 p.m. Discipline Track Meetings (High Desert Activity Center)

Saturday 7:30 a.m. Breakfast (Muffins, Juice and Coffee) (HDAC)

8:00 a.m. Registration check-in for all participants (HDAC)

8:30 a.m. Meet as full group (HDAC)

Noon Lunch (Box Lunch)

12:30 p.m. Meet at ranges

5:45 p.m. Dinner (provided)

6:30 p.m. Classes

9:00 p.m. Adjourn for the day

Sunday 7:30 a.m. Breakfast (Muffins, Juice and Coffee) (HDAC)

8:15 a.m. Final classes, test, practicum and close

Noon Adjourn and travel home safely



Training Location:

The training will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center.
