Clouds
By: Emily Hill
Introduction….
I chose the metaphor clouds.Clouds continuously go
through a process called the “Water Cycle”.During this
process the clouds go through three steps: Evaporation-
when water becomes a gas, Condensation- when the
droplets come together to make a cloud, and Precipitation-
when the water returns to Earth in the form of rain, snow,
sleet, or hail. Also clouds have many different forms.I feel
my life is somewhat like a cloud.I play different roles, such
• Evaporation-I start with
small ideas.
• Condensation- I take the
small ideas and bringing
them together to create
something whole.
• Precipitation- My writing is
turned into the teacher and
brings joy to her like
clouds bring water to
plants.
Storm Clouds
Dark, menacing, heavy, dense
cloud like a mountain or huge
tower, upper parts smooth and
flattened spread out in a dark
plume.
Research paper….
“Storm Cloud”
*Large, time-consuming
paper
*”Rained all the „be‟ verbs
out.
*”Storms of Life” were shown
many times in the essay
*Started out with simple idea
and became complex
*” Through Janie, Hurston
calls attention to the
silencing of woman..” (
Johnson)
Stratus Clouds
Smooth and featureless. Fairly uniform gray
cloud layer, often low enough to block out
tops of low hills or high buildings. Usually
form in stable air.
Out- Of- Class Essay…

delicate white bands or patches. These are
indicators of very dry air.

on the depth of the “ice”
Nimbostratus Clouds
From nimbus(rain) and stratus (sheet), these
clouds are the source of a gentle, but
continuous, rain or snow.Dark, gray cloud
blanket that is thick enough to hide the sun
and any other higher clouds.
Other Class Essay

American‟s “continuous”
pain.
*Their “blanket” of pain
covered up their “sun” of
happiness

This shows just because
you can‟t see something
doesn‟t mean it‟s not there
it might just be “hiding”
